From regular phone calls and emails, to meeting us at our venue's tasting event with examples of our centerpieces and linens....the RC team went above and beyond to help us feel held during what was an amazingly stressful time in our lives given wedding planning plus the uncertainty of everything on a week to week basis. They expect kindergartners and first graders to be solely responsible for getting the lunch without any assistance if they forget they're receiving hot lunch that day. We've been told it's our kids responsibility for ensuring they have their own utensils. Each meal is now $7-$8, a plastic fork and spoon is too much to add? For the price, they do not even provide a substantially nutritious meal, sometimes chicken nuggets probably bought from Costco or Sams. They have a monopoly on this in Reno, and there are no other options when your child wants to be able to eat a hot lunch instead of cold options everyday. Our daughter's school doesn't like it when you drop off hot lunch for your child as it disrupts their teaching sessions to pick up the meal. We are at Poi Boy's mercy when it comes to buying a hot lunch. You guys can do better for the children.

My fiance and I were so impressed after the initial consultation and knew we had to have her as our planner. Right after we booked OUATE, my fiance and I had a meeting with Jessica and basically told her everything we wanted, what we didn't want and what we dreamed of having but didn't think we could afford. She also had us fill out a questionnaire to get a sense of our style, get to know us and get an idea of what we envision for our dream wedding. After reviewing everything we gave her, she created a design board with everthing we had talked about. I loved how we got to go thourgh and point out what we liked and what we didn't like. This gave us a great sense of what our wedding was going to look like. Since I had a very hard time picking a theme and staying with that direction, this really helped me get on track and focus on one thing at a time. This also really helped me stop stressing and feeling overwhelmed and let me enjoy the wedding planning process. As a bride, I knew I wanted to be involved in the fun stuff but not the boring, budget related stuff. Jessica was amazing at handling all the stuff I didn't want to do or did not know how to do. We gave her our total budget and she planned around that very well and helped us stay on track. She also did all of the orders (which were a ton since we had our wedding at private estate and had to bring everything in) and delt with the most of our vendors. She has a great working relationship with a ton of wedding vendors in Reno that she was able to get things done and get them done fast! And she had wonderful recommendations for our wedding vendors. We loved them all! During the whole wedding planning process Jessica and her sister, Cassie kept us on track and made sure we were getting things done when they needed to be done. It made wedding planning a lot of fun! The day of the wedding, I had absolutley nothing to worry about. I sat in the house and got ready while Jessica, Cassie and her team set everything up and dealt with all the vendors. The wedding was not too big but the whole production of it was a lot! We had a ton of flowers, a fire pit, a dessert bar, photo booth, a lounge and a ton of details such a signage and personalized items. Jesssica and her team were so organized and executed everything PERFECTLY! It was above and beyond anything I had even imagined. They took my vision to the next level and made it better than I could had ever wished for. Jessica and Cassie kept the wedding on track the whole night and everything went off witthout a hitch. Vesta and I have photographed a lotta weddings and wedding receptions and we've seen our fair share of DJs and Katie and Matt are among the best in Reno. And they're fun people too. So, you can't go wrong with them. And it's really nice when your DJ is personable, friendly and actually cares about the bride and groom and their guests. And it's really nice when they keep the reception rolling along the way it's supposed too. Vesta and I photographed one wedding where the DJ forgot the bouquet and garter toss. Another where the DJ didn't do the bouquet toss till after most people had gone home, cuz he was so boring and there were only two girls left to catch the flowers. We've worked with Katie and Matt twice and both times they steered the reception along without issue, while staying in tune with the bride and her wishes, even though her wishes may change throughout the evening. Like us, Katie and Matt put the bride first. They are there to do a job and they work for the same person we do, the bride. Her wishes come first. It's her wedding, her special day. Not all DJs know this. Sadly, neither do all photographers. We know it and one of the reasons we like working with Katie and Matt so much is because they know it too. PS.
