Amazing! I need to write a review for this location as I did for the Bradenton one b/c the staff is awesome. Eyelashes open the eyes and I can't believe the amazing difference eyelash extensions made for me. They are truly eye-opening ;). These are the most natural but stunning beauty service I've ever had done. Beverly and her staff are so professional and skilled. They are former nurses and licensed estheticians. I highly recommend this place if you're tired of applying mascara or tired of runny mascara in Florida heat and want full, long, easy maintenance lashes. The procedure is so relaxing, too. I actually look forward to it, because I can nap. All you do is arrive and lay down for an hour, listen to relaxing music, and sleep. During that hour they work their magic, meticulously applying one lash at a time. You won't believe your eyes when you wake up! ;) read more

I love these ladies! Always so friendly and my lashes always look spectacular when they are done. I even get colored lashes to add that extra pop - they even had pink for October! I plan to get some red and green in for the Holidays. I love how I not only no longer have to wear mascara but I can also choose to go without any makeup and my eyelashes make me look more 'awake' - if you know what I mean. And in addition to the lashes most (if not all) of the ladies offer other services - just ask them what they can do for you! read more

This January will mark my 4 year anniversary with Beverly and A Lash Above. I had tried other establishments in the past and was extremely unhappy with the results. But when a friend raved about A Lash Above to me I knew I had to give it one more try. And I am so glad I did. Everywhere I go I am complimented on my lashes. Even my own doctor couldn't tell they were extensions. As a busy mom it's so nice to be able to run out of the house and not worry about throwing on mascara the one thing I wouldn't leave home without in the past. Beverly and her staff will make you feel pampered and you always leave feeling and looking refreshed. I'm hooked for life!! read more

I have been getting my lashes done from A Lash Above for about 1 1/2 years now and I am obsessed! Not only do my lashes look natural, but refills only take ~ 1 hour! I go in the morning, Beverly plays classical music, and I end up taking a little snooze and wake up beautiful! Plus I ALWAYS get compliments and people ask if they are real or fake because you really can't tell the difference! I HIGHLY recommend! read more

I took me awhile to decide on whether to get eye lash extensions or not... But after ONE visit with Beverly, I was HOOKED! Being Asian, I have lived with short straight lashes my whole life... In just one short hour, Beverly can turn your normal lashes and transform into a work of art. You will not be disappointed. This is not a review I haven't used Beverly, simply for the fact that a full set costs $250!! I don't care how fabulous they are when for less than half that price there are over a dozen folks in town to go to. So that being said my beef is with Yelp and whomever gave it a one $ leading folks to believe that this was the least expensive service of all those listed. I gave her 5 stars only because I didn't think it fair to negatively contribute to her rating for a service which I have not used. read more

I have been going to Beverly (owner) of A Lash Above for five years. These lashes are fabulous! I constantly receive comments from many people (even in San Carlos, Mexico last year) about my beautiful eyelashes. Strangers comment on my pretty lashes and then I confess that they are eyelash extensions. Susan, on Beverly's staff, is excellent and she is located just North of Osprey on Rt 41. MaryBeth, located on Bee Ridge, is also a fine technician. I WON'T LIVE WITHOUT MY LASHES. A Lash Above is the only place to go. read more

Superior Service & Superior Product! If you're considering eye lash extensions or need a change, A Lash Above, is by far the Best! I've been a client now for nearly a year and I absolutely Love my lashes! Susan, a licensed esthetician, knows what she's doing. And, she's a delight to work with! My lashes always look fantastic! Right from the start, Beverly took to heart the words of fellow RN and Xtreme Lashes founder Jo Mousselli's favorite saying, "Perfect practice makes perfect". She followed up her initial training with three additional refresher courses in 2008 and returned again in 2010 and 2011 for further training to keep her skills in tip-top shape. Those perfected skills have served her well as she has worked to establish herself as an eyelash expert in the Sarasota area. With talent and hard work, success often follows and Beverly is a fine example. She is now the owner of her own business, A Lash Above, based in Sarasota. A Lash Above receives clients from all over Florida and, in early 2012, expanded with two additional Xtreme Lashes Stylists to serve its growing list of eyelash extension fans. "Women love it," she says. "They know they never have to wear mascara again!" ALA also offers refreshing facials, brow waxing and Swarovski Crystal Body Art applications at A Lash Above.

Meet the Business Owner: Beverly K.

After twenty-four years of working exclusively as an RN with dialysis patients, Beverly Katzenberger embarked on a new adventure when she discovered eyelash extensions in 2007. The adventure is still going strong and this Sarasota, Florida resident is reaping the benefits, receiving top reviews and spreading her passion for lashing all across the state. Beverly was introduced to the idea of eyelash extensions through a friend in California. Intrigued by the concept, she did extensive research on the application process, training options, and companies offering the products and training. Her research led her to Xtreme Lashes and she decided to take the plunge with a December 2007 training program to learn the art of applying eyelash extensions. It was a life-changing decision for Beverly, and one she has never regretted. "[Xtreme Lashes] is the best and the training is exceptional. The trainers are more than accommodating and that goes for the customer service staff, too.

Beverly is amazing ! The few times I've needed to adjust my appointment times she is so accommodating But let's talk about the lashes ..... Every morning I giggle at the fact I don't need mascara ... I am elated with FINALLY finding an awesome place with Susan, an awesome lash stylist, after terrible experiences with 3 other locations. ( red itchy eyes ) I thought I was doomed to never be able to have the extensions again as I turned out to be allergic to the glue. With no promises, took a very short pause & tried again. Beverly Katzenberger is simply amazing! Not only is she a classy lady but she applies lash extensions to perfection! I had my lashes done while on vacation. I previously had lash extensions that were pretty sparse. Once I had Beverly apply a full set I was never satisfied with my old lash extensions again. Having longer eyelashes is an exceptional way to look more youthful and make your eyes appear more open. My eyelashes have never experienced any loss or thinning.
