I have recommended it to many of my American friends who are traveling to Paris, and they thank me profusely after each visit. On June 12, 2026, my partner and I had a chance to confirm the excellence of the entire staff, and of course the amazing creativity of the chef.
As you can see from the pictures below, the presentation of the food was beautiful. We opened with foie gras and a fricassee of escargots with chorizo sausage. Our main courses were Iberian pluma pork and the 7 hour lamb. For dessert, we had the brioche pain perdu with caramel au beurre salé and a touch of ice cream along with the pavolova with strawberries (not pictured). The wine was a St. Joseph Syrah that was excellent with the meats and relatively low in alcohol at 13%.
Everything about the meal was beautifully realized. The clientele was largely but not exclusively French. It's a small restaurant with perhaps 15 upstairs tables and some space below, and they appear to do a brisk carry-out business as well.
We will join them again when in Paris, and we hope it is soon.
I should also add that this restaurant, despite its high quality and service, is not at all pretentious. It's a comfortblle place to eat a great meal. We paid €170, a bit more than for our last visit in 2015, but still a great value.
