Really bad, could not reproduce old Mercedes 240d ignition/door lock key. Made crappy one that has to be pulled in an out to work. Ruined at least 2 expensive Mercedes keys. Their key cutter is obviously an old worn out piece of junk. It's like the guy didn't give a crap! The old locksmiths are gone. read more

I highly recommend A L Odom Locksmith and will use them again. l might even buy a safe from them in the future. I had a 10 year old safe that a battery tray was lost. The only thing that they could do was to take a crowbar and sledge hammer to the safe. After he got the safe opened he looked at me and said "I charge $100 an hour" then he said with a calming voice, I'm not charging you! when he said that, tears came to my eyes, could not believe this. I was really struggling with the money part. I want to say a big Thank You to Mr. A.L. you really blessed me that day!!! Nancy Reed read more

We had recently purchased a house in Black Mountain and need rekeying services. Nelson was on time, really friendly and quick. He even took time to help us get a stuck key loose from the utility closet. Overall, great experience and we would happily use A. L. Odom again. read more

I saw the Odom van on my street and that is what prompted me to call them and make an appointment for them to get into a very large locked China cabinet. I scheduled a few days in advance. They never showed up. I called them later in the day of the appointment and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone said they were just way too busy to get to me. He said he did call me the night before, but he admitted he did not leave a voicemail. read more

Excellent and very fairly priced locksmiths. A pleasure to deal with. Very nice people as well.

I do business with these people. They are not cheap but they are worth the difference. They are also very courteous and give good advice about security. read more

Very professional and conscientious. I needed a key to an old Pontiac. It was hard to locate. But Odom's was able to order it and was very careful to make sure it worked. I appreciated his extra effort. I'll sure go back next time I need a good locksmith. read more

Excellent professional service and a very quick response time. Great job.

Ive had a technician to my house 3 times in less then a year. Every time has cost me major money and the problem isn't solved. In fact more problems have been caused every time they come and I was even charged for that! I also had someone come to my place of business to install a new door lock set. This was not properly installed and not secure AT ALL. It had to be completely re-done. Definitely not using this company ever again!!! read more

I needed a replacement key made for my 2006 Lexus and they took good care of me. I was in and out in about ten minutes. I stopped by their store on Sweeten Creek Road (only a few minutes from Biltmore Village) and saved myself a ton of money while getting excellent service. Some other locksmiths are mobile only, so you pay a service call fee for them to come to you. If you can go to A.L. Odom's retail location, there are no service call fees. Thus, my Lexus key was around $100 less than at a Lexus dealer, and almost exactly half the price I was quoted at another local locksmith with mobile service. And everyone there was extremely nice. read more

We were locked out of our condo on a weekend, and had a hard time reaching any locksmith. A. L. Odom not only answered the phone, but made an extra effort to help us out when they realized we were locked out of our home. Neal came within 15 minutes, and he was great. We would highly recommend them. read more

Would highly recommend Gene(owner) and his crew to do any kind of locksmith work. They have replaced all our locks at work and also done automotive key work for us too. And made hundreds of replacement keys. Thanks for you great service! read more

Great Establishment! Been doing business with them for years. Brought in a door knob that had a broken latch and they gave me a latch they had hanging around for free. Very appreciated! Thanks! read more

They are very good at key duplication. My car with keyless entry/start has a very strange key fob where the unusual key is stored. They were able to duplicate it. read more

First rate. Highly professional. I would easily recommend and or use their services again!

Our complicated lock broke on a Sunday leaving a major entrance to our home open. We talked with Mr. Odom who asked us to send a picture of our lock system. He said he would get to us the next day. He never called back nor did he show up. Haven't heard from him since the first interaction. read more

It was a dark, cold, rainy Saturday night. We had just completed an 1100 mile car trip and I went down to open the cabin while my friends started unloading the car. As I stood fumbling for the keys in the dark, freezing cold rain it dawned on me... I had forgotten them... they were sitting back home, 1100 miles away! I immediately started calling locksmiths in the area. I called every one of them. Of course being Saturday night they were all closed. I wasn't sure if there was anyone out there checking all the messages I was leaving, but I didn't know what else to do. Well it turns out there WAS someone checking! William of A.L. Odom called me right back! He was in the middle of another job on the far side of Asheville, but said he would come help us as soon as he finished. Without hesitation he was willing to drive all the way to Montreat in the pouring rain on a Saturday night to help us! What a great guy! What GREAT customer service! If yall are every in need of a Locksmith, Odom is the company and William is absolutely the man for the job! read more
