Came highly recommended, and I'm sure he's a skilled masseuse. That said, my experience with booking and communication was extremely disappointing and felt unnecessarily rude.
* I scheduled an appointment
* Received a confirmation at the time of booking and another confirmation the day before
* Drove over 30 minutes to Short Pump, found a place to work briefly, and planned my day around accommodating the 5:00 PM appointment
* Arrived at the building but couldn't get inside, so I texted Calvin to let him know I was there and that it seemed no one was present
* He replied: "I regret to inform you, but failure to fulfill your new client invoice resulted in your session not being secured. If you were interested in rescheduling, please let me know."
* I explained that I'm not great with email and had no idea there was an invoice/paperwork that needed to be addressed. Had I known, I absolutely would have paid it
* He responded: "Well, there was paperwork that needed to be filled out but I am referring to the invoice that was sent to the email address that you provided shortly after making the appointment."
* I shared that this was frustrating and misleading, especially since I had received an appointment text reminder the night before and had planned my entire day around it
* He replied: "Yes. You weren't suppose to receive that. Once the 48 hour deadline passes on fulfilling an invoice, the session is canceled and made available to another client or I simply shut down for the day."
Summary: Be sure to check your email after booking. As a new client (or any client at that) you'd think you'd be met with at least a basic thanking me for booking, apologizing for the confusion, and/or trying to make it right. Instead, the responses felt rude & unapologetic. Based on this experience alone, I have no desire to rebook. Very disappointing. read more
