This was one of the BEST massages I have ever gotten (and I've gotten quite a variety over the past…read more20 years or so). Definitely therapeutic and deep-tissue. "Anna" put her all into it!! There were a couple of times I could tell she got up on the table (kneeling?), for leverage. I received a full body massage, but the majority of the time was spent on my poor back (thankfully, bc I needed it). There were even hot stones towards the end and then a moist hot towel to get some of the oil off. Highly recommend; I'll definitely return.

And if you can't take that much pressure they can do a nice gentle massage as well. I've come here so many times for years and always forget to have them punch my card for the eventual free/discount massage, but doesn't matter...they gave me a gift certificate for a free one for Christmas. They are very sweet ladies and always try to load me up with candy and water as I'm leaving (the candy for my kids). They take walk-ins, which I love as I have a crazy schedule with my kids and work and never know when I'll have time. And they're open until 10pm which is also amazing. I love getting a massage here. I've had massages at many different places: red door (before they closed at which I've had best and worst), a chiropractor masseur, massage envy (only dug into my shoulder blades lots of pain there). I prefer a little more pressure myself, but I don't like to be in pain. I like the tension release I get here.

She's extremely knowledgeable, and makes excellent recommendations on the type of massage for you and how to incorporate things in your daily routine to maintain a healthy lifestyle. As far as the massage and technique/pressure is concerned, I'm pretty sure she's psychic because whatever she does is always exactly what my body needs. My recommendation - book early, as Aly's schedule fills up far in advance and she has a strong client base. Unfortunately for me, I live in Northern VA so I have a hard time finding a slot that works for me, but when I see one I certainly jump on it. All it takes is one session with her, after you will realize why Aly's schedule fills up.

I made…read morean appointment for an hour and a half from that time, knowing it was a trek away from my hotel and that it would be cutting it close to catch my flight. 30mins later after I had made plans to get food near the location she called and said something about coming in early. I called back two times to let her know I would be in at 4 only, as I had made meal plans in the meantime. Both times, it went to voicemail and the "voicemail had not been set up yet" was the message received. I showed up 5mins before my appointment, hauling my suitcase and backpack up the long flight of stairs. As I enter she says "oh no! I called you, i said you come in early!" I told her I called her back two times, but she didn't care. I asked if she could still honor the appointment and she said no. Waste of uber ride, waste of time... highly suggest not making an appointment here as they won't honor the appointment anyway.

I met Mackenzie, filled out some paperwork, chatted about problem areas and she got to business. I like that you don't choose deep tissue, sweedish, hot stone, etc, but that the massage is customized to your individual needs. I had a combination of all of the above used in my massage. Apparently I had knots in my neck, back near shoulders, lower arms and a tight butt (i'll take that as a compliment! LOL). She took the time to work out each and every knot telling me that if anything was too much to let her know. It was very intense to work them out but not too much but all worth it as man do I feel 100% relaxed today. I don't think there was any part she missed. For me the neck massage was worth the amount, i didn't realize i was so tense up there. She covered arms, neck, legs, back, butt, feet, hands, scalp.... it was amazeballs. When I was checking out, I had mentioned that I travel a lot for work and she told me they often have same day appts available if I ever just have a couple of free hours. So check this place out!
