My wife and I were so beside ourselves and needed the problem resolved that night. I then called a local company, "Restano" and boy was I glad I did. Within seconds after I called their 24/7 line, Nick the plumber...contacted me, asked what the problem was and indicated that he would be at my house within the hour since he was coming from across town. As soon as Nick arrived, he assessed the situation and took the time to explain the issue, how my system works and how he would attack the problem. Although the job wasn't easy and it took some time to clear, Nick worked extremely hard and tried various options until the problem was resolved. Within 1 hour, he fixed the issue and indicated that if it occurs again (within a reasonable amount of days) that he will be back at no charge to once again "snake the drain". He also explained other options if the "snake" doesn't work, which would include the need of a camera and more, but at additional "reasonable" costs for which we completely understand.. Nick also explained other options to receive discounts on any plumbing issues within the future, upon signing up annually to have my furnace cleaned and checked,. This would give us some peace of mind if this would occur again, but most importantly help with additional costs per an emergency call. Considering that I had similar issues in the past, I'm going to call their main office to make sure I sign up first thing in the morning. From the very minute that I contacted them and from the time Nick left our home, their customer service was outstanding (above and beyond) and we couldn't be more pleased with Restano. The tech's first question was what are you looking to spend! He tried to sell me a larger A/C than I needed and was unable to provide an itemized cost breakdown (called his supervisor to ask and was told that's not how they do it). What idiot would pay $20k+ without understanding what they are getting for their money? I showed him the door and the ignorant tech told me to "call us when your HVAC breaks". Spoke to the GM at Restano and he was also clueless on transparent sales practices (kept saying everything is included in one price). My neighbor expressed similar gross overpriced estimates that he recently received from Restano. I called one of their competitors and said I do not want to repeat the clown show that I had today with Restano ... he (a real person) laughed and said "say no more" after mentioning Restano, we hear all sorts of issues that people have with their sales and service practices. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Restano, as there are many better options all the way around!

I wish I had known that and read some of the 540 complaints on the BBB web site. Roto-Rooter is charging me $3100.00 for incomplete work. After two no-shows with no notice, they started work on 3/19/21. They jackhammered a deep hole in my basement, removed the sewer trap, and fashioned a temporary connection between two cut pieces of sewer pipe. Original estimate was a 2-day job for $4839.00. After another no show with no notice, I gave up on them on 3/24 and asked for a bill for work completed. Then they added $1140.00 onto the bill from a quote dated 12 days after the first quote, saying it was part of the original job, for additional work that was never even attempted. And for that, they want $3100.00? THIS IS SHAMEFUL. 4/7/21 Update: A Customer Satisfaction Manager from RR HQ read my online complaint under Google Reviews. After filing a formal complaint with the Murrysville General Manager, and a reminder follow up, this Customer Satisfaction Manager was able to get Murrysville RR to assign a manager to review my complaint. This manager was able to cut my bill in half by dropping their profit on the job and billing me for only the labor cost of the work that had actually been done. He sincerely apologized, stating that this should never have dragged on so long, and that this is not the way they do business. He also promised to follow up with the job supervisor regarding multiple customer service failures that resulted in significant delays. This was an expensive lesson for me--one that I will never forget. I am awaiting the corrected bill so that I can pay it and move on.

In the past, I had called 2 different heating companies to look at the boiler in my house. Both companies said my boiler was working fine, but yet my 2nd floor was still cold. I had called Lawerence plumbing to look at my furnace. Lawerence plumbing sent 2 technicians, Sam and Ed. It only took 5 minutes and they found the problem. The PSI in the water system was only at 5 Lbs, when it should have been at 15 Lbs. The valves that controls the water pressure in the boiler was corroded and stuck. The boiler system was old, and several other valves were also in need of replacement. Surprisingly, they were able to replace the old worn-out parts without breaking other parts. That's always the fear of working on old plumbing, things tend to snowball. They had to replace some bleeder valves on two of the radiators also. To make a long story short, Sam and Ed did a terrific job fixing my boiler. They were able to restore heat to my 2nd-floor without costing me a small fortune. If I ever need a plumber again, I will gladly call Lawerence Plumbing. They did a terrific job at an honest price. If I do call them again, I hope they send Sam & Ed again.
