They were from the start honest and straight to the point. I finally was able to pop in and have them look at my ring to see if possible. They told me yes, left it with them, and to come back the following day. Then he hung up on me, having charged me for a service he didn't supply. A family member, who had been a customer of Alberto's for years, was present during this interaction. Today she no longer does business with Alberto's. Nor does anyone else in our family. The 2nd mistake I made was not calling my credit card company to stop payment on the repair charge. Moreover, if you want to purchase jewelry from this establishment, I'd take a jeweler's glass along to examine the merchandise. And even then I wouldn't buy it. Finally, anyone needing a Movado repair should go to the authorized Movado Repair Center at Willowbrook Mall in N.J.
