I came in with beautiful, healthy auburn hair and left feeling completely disfigured with orange and yellow hair. I went to the salon to have highlights done. There are no mirrors for the chairs at the color area and I did not realize that she had foiled ALL of my hair until it was too late. The hair on the right side of my head ended up an ashy blonde with no dimension and bright orange roots. The hair on the left side of my head has orange roots, about 6 inches of ashy blonde and the rest is red-ish orange because it didn't process long enough. I've never had anyone suggest bleaching my entire head at once let alone attempt it without my consent. The result is a complete nightmare and I'm just blown away at the lack of taste, pride and thought that went into doing this. This nightmare costs over $350 and 5 hours of my time at the salon, a day off from work for me to go to another salon to have this fixed and money well spent at another salon fixing this for a fraction of what Jason Clemons charged for this disfiguring. I have spent well over $1000 on this nightmare. My hair is completely fried. My hair is frizzy, unmanageable, lost all of its natural curl and looks awful. Multiple people have asked me if I tried to color my hair myself. It looks that bad. I have never had such an awful hair experience in my life. I'm embarrassed to go out looking like this. I feel completely disfigured. I called the salon 2 days after they ruined my hair but it went to voicemail. I decided to take the no answer as a sign that maybe I shouldn't go back. read more

Now I will admit that I went to my appointment not knowing exactly what I wanted. I had booked an appointment for a all over highlight and a haircut with Hilda which was my first appointment with her (I have been to other stylists at the salon). I arrived on time for my appointment and was brought back immediately. That's the good part. Hilda sat me down at the color station and asked what we were doing today. I told her I didn't know exactly but that I wanted to get rid of the gray and I wasn't sure if highlights were going to be enough anymore because of the amount of the gray. I asked for her recommendation and also asked if it was time for me to start doing an all over color instead. She said it depends on what I wanted but she didn't think I needed an all over color. I said ok and she walked away and started mixing a color. Never asked me what color I wanted. Just started mixing. When she came back I specified that I wanted the front, near my face, to be lighter. She agreed that was a good decision. Next thing I know she's slathering hair color all over. I still have no idea what color is being put on. I thought maybe this is a base color and she's going to do some highlights as well. Nope. She didn't even color the ends of my hair that I told her multiple times I was trying to get rid of. So now I have a hideous shade of brown at the top of my head and washed out brassy blonde highlights at the bottom. I was still holding out hope that there was some sort of plan that was going to make this turn out well. When she was washing my hair she asked how much of a trim I wanted. I told her I wanted a good amount of hair cut off because I wanted to be sure to get rid of all the dead ends. She sent me to her chair and started cutting. She was barely cutting much off, less than half an inch. When she asked me what I thought of the length I asked her if she was sure all of the dead ends were gone. I could tell by the look on her face she knew she didn't cut enough off but she didn't want to keep cutting my hair because she was so focused on the perm she had scheduled after me. She told me I'd just have to come back again and keep up on my haircuts. Then she asked me what I thought about the color and at this point I realized she wasn't planning on doing anything more to my hair. I told her I thought we were making it lighter up front and she said I will have to schedule another appointment for a highlight (which is actually what my appointment was scheduled for to begin with). I was done right then and there. Not only will I not be scheduling another haircut or highlight, but I won't come back to the salon. Ever. I realize I went in to the appointment without a specific plan but she also refused to actually give much of a consultation and the two things I actually specifically asked for she didn't do at all. I've had my hair done many times, they always did a great job. No complaints in that regards at all. The only reason that I stopped going was because the colorist I was very happy with left, then I moved onto another colorist and got comfortable with the new colorist and then that person eventually left as well. I'm sure I could move onto another equally great colorist but the turn-over was just not for me as I prefer to have the same hair dresser each and every time. So 4 stars for the quality and establishment, knocked a star off for the revolving door of hair dressers. read more

I was recommended to go to A Jason Clemons Salon by my girl friends! I have had 3 hair appointments with Jason, I now love my hair!!!! My hair was in bad shape, unhealthy , no body ect..... Jason not only gave me a cut that is special for me and my thin hair but also advised me to take vitamins for my thin unhealthy hair!! I went here a while back and had my hair highlighted and my mom got a oil treatment. $200 for these two procedures to be done is a little on the pricey side. They don't really give you an idea of how much things cost so your left in the idk zone. The price is not what this review is about. I went back there to get my eyebrows waxed and I left looking like I let a toddler use the wax strips, so I called and informed them of my situation and they asked me to come back to fix it, sure no problem. Thank you for offering to fix it. I go back and and the lady assured me she had been doing brows forever and she would fix it. Now I look like I let a toddler completely wax off all of my brows and they are still lopsided. They then proceed to ask me cash or credit to pay I have to have a 10 min convo with the girl about how this was a fix to cover their first fuck up but they still have not succeeded. I left and will never return even if this is the last salon on earth I will not go back. read more
