So far this has not happened and that was back in October 2016. Classes are M-Th and just one from 6:15-7:15. There is a different instructor every night. Sometimes the class seems more focus on weights, yoga, Pilates, and other things than kickboxing. The room is not very big. While you are taking the class, others are either in there waiting to their classes, practicing for their class, or walking to and from the restroom. Sometimes you cannot do your own workout due to them walking by or being in the way, which is frustrating. Attempted to cancel my membership but unfortunately I'm locked in for a year. It is definitely more geared for martial arts than kickboxing.

Team Randori had a few red flags to start, like "closed" open mats and fairly outrageous pricing (about $200/month if you want to do 3x a week including open mats -- you have to pay a premium for open mat allowance), but the owner, Al, was very direct in his sales pitch which was fine enough to get us on the mats. As a background, I have been training jiu-jitsu (and other martial arts) since 2007 as a 15 year young kid, and have been to several countries and countless gyms around the world for martial arts (mostly under the BJJ Globetrotters Camps). I got my fiancée into the sport just over 6 years ago or so, and she has excelled in it! We were lucky to find a nice, small little crew of good people to train with so close to our home, after dealing with other problematic gyms in the area (namely pedos and creeps). It can be especially hard for a 120lb female to find partners she can safely and comfortably roll with, but we did manage to find a few of those folk within Randori. That being said, I share some regrets getting past those red flags, as not even 5 months into training at Randori and spending a whopping $1500 between the two of us, we've already been excommunicated (I guess). One day at training, before class started, Al decided to use me to show somebody a ridiculous and unrealistic move that splayed my knees open, wrenching them both way beyond their ability. All I could do was tap, but he ripped it with seemingly no remorse. Afterwards he literally just turned and continued to his previous conversation. I still don't know if it was a genuine accident (again, to which no remorse has been given -- except maybe for my canceled membership aka less money coming in) or a case of the ol Napoleon Syndrome. One of his black belts saw it go down and immediately came up to me asking if I needed ice, also in a bit of shock at the situation. I responded something to the tune of, "if it were anyone else I think I would need to go to the hospital," as I'm quite flexible. The next day my knee buckled over and I knew my old LCL injury (which had long since recovered) was back with a vengeance -- so I messaged Al to cancel my membership. He did a brief dance of asking for a Doctor's note or whatever, to which I just said I am canceling because I know there's not much to do for knees that would allow me to come back quick, and I was now quite over the owner (though withholding all these feelings to avoid burning a bridge). I was off it for two weeks, rehabbed for a month, and then got into strength training for another three months. Stronger than ever As soon as I was ready I reached out to friends at the gym -- because we got along with everyone else extremely well -- to come to an open mat. I knew their little "closed" open mat policy for non-paying folk, but figured maybe since I was a member, experienced and always a safe roll, then got injured -- maybe, just maybe, Al would make an exception; he wanted $40 for a "drop-in" fee. To those unaware, these are awful business practices touted as "safety" precautions, but that's what the waiver is for.. and many of the best gyms are always open to all for open mat. So, I decided to send Al a message about it all directly -- still hoping I could maybe get to the open mat late and get some rolls in. Again, he's a business man so he saw my message pretty quickly -- but still to this day he has not responded. I have the message attached; I think I did a fairly good job at lightening up my emotions about it with emojis but it has been a few weeks and he has just left me on read. "No money no honey," as they say in Thailand Edited and changed from 3-stars to 1-stars after learning things haven't changed in the last year and there has been a mass exodus from all the good people at the gym. Maybe their kids program is still worth something because Coach Carlos is great, but there are other gyms out there with less explosive little men running the school

I've driven past this studio almost every day for nearly four years and I always thought how cool…read moreit would be to take a class there. Well I finally had the opportunity when I came across a MMA Bootcamp class provided by United MMA. The simple fact it was across the street from my house was the winning decision to purchase this deal. After getting a few other of my friends to sign up I finally went to a class. The classes are MWTH at 8pm and Saturdays at 10am. My first class was on a Monday and it literally kicked my toosh!! It was intense short burst of circuit training. Using various exercises. Ranging from water balls, kettle bells, kicking bags, medicine balls, and much more. The last five minutes of the class everyone was using every ounce of energy to finish. Like I said - it was no joke. I've been to two more classes and it's always different. Which is what I really like about Sensei Thai. He keeps you guessing and never stop you from completing a circuit. Your body will always be guessing when walking into the camp. My only critique is the children that are in the area waiting on their parents. If they can stay in their areas and not run near the adults - the class would move along seamless. Other than that if you're prepared for a class that will challenge you in every way - give this studio a try. I will extend my membership once my 8 week deal ends.

I went to this establishment essentially to check out the studio as a potential birthday party venue for my sister in law. My sister in law lives quite a distance from the studio while I live much closer so she asked that I go for her and take pictures. When she contacted the establishment, she received an email stating "we are available to show the place between 5:45 pm and 9 pm on Mondays through Thursdays." On Saturdays, 8:00 am -12 noon, I went on a Tuesday around 7pm. Let me preface this by saying that prior to going, I called both numbers listed around 5pm after leaving work. But they never answered any of the phones. They all went to voice mail. I left 2 messages. No one called me back. I went ahead and proceeded to visit the venue around 7pm. Btw, I had to go with my 1 year old. Also, please note that all these time periods fall into the time that they claim to be "available". When I got there, the signage was very bad. The entrance to the studio is located in the back in a very poor lit area between two buildings. It's a weird entrance. Anyways, I went in and up the stairs and entered right into the studio where a class was going on. There was no reception area. There was no one to receive me. I stood and waited in the dark for 10 mins. Then stepped to the stairway to call one of the numbers again. No answer. Left another msg. I went back in and one of the class attendees left her mat and came to me and directed me to some side benches. I waited and waited for about 10 more minutes. Just about when I had had enough, the wife (nikki) came in with her husband carrying groceries. Not saying hello or anything, she looked at me like what the hell are you doing here? I asked r u Nikki? I began explaining why I was there. She had an air of arrogance and bad attitude. She proceeded to walk me over to another room which I guess is their kitchenette area. We had to walk throw the class that was still going on. There she proceeded to tell me that my sister in law didn't email her to tell her i would be coming. She said she doesn't know what I want her to say. She can't give me a tour because the class doesn't end for another 15 mins. I wasn't going to wait another 15 mins. I had already decided this business relationship was not happening. She said the email she sent to my sister in law was a boilerplate email she sends to everyone. Hello???!!! She says she gets people expressing interest but no follow through. But I said why say you are available during those hours when you are not really. Your boilerplate email should further say. Please respond via email so we can schedule a time since we are not really available during the hours we listed. We also don't answer our phones. She proceeded to tell me her and her husband have day jobs and don't check their msgs often. Hello???!!! Throughout this conversation, her and her husband were unpacking their groceries. It looked like they were going have some refreshments for folks. Anyway, there was no apology offered by neither husband or wife (nikki). Needless to say, I gave up on trying to explain how absurd she was being and proceeded to leave. She told her husband who has barely said 5 words at this point to walk me out. No goodbye. Nothing!! We walked again through the class going on. They are both so unprofessional, so rude and so arrogant.

It's a monthly fee that gives him unlimited access to classes. He can go once a week or 4 times a week or anything in between. We started him off slow so that he could learn the rules and way around. Now he's up to 3/4 times a week. Tae Kwon Do is a group excursion, but everyone gets a lot of quality instructor time and everyone moves at their own pace (in terms of testing for belts). Sometimes classes will have 5+ people, sometimes they'll have 2, just depends on the day of the week. Ms. Maria is down to earth, friendly, quirky and funny. But make no mistake, she demands respect, instills a sense of responsibility in students and expects them to respect each other and others. She loves her students and genuinely treats them like family. Ms. Maria and her co-instructor Matt also offer Eskrima, Boot camps, boxing and more. We recommend this for anyone (adult or child) interested in learning self-defense, self-control and good fitness. Ms. Maria also has classes catering to special needs children/adults as well.
