For about 4 months now I've had the honor and pleasure of watching my son soak up training at this dojo. The staff here are FANTASTIC with kids. They took my shy kid in one session and had him on the mat and he hasn't looked back since. Adults train here too but every time I come here I see smiles on kids faces! They learn, are encouraged to practice, and belt tests reinforce discipline at home. I'm proud of my son for sticking with it and the staff here prove every day that they can hook the kids on Martial Arts. I can't say enough good things!

Now I have been volunteering during the summers for two years and the kids are such a joy. There were several times I wanted to give up, but the instructors helped me strive and keep going. I had been training with a group of friends prior to ivey league, but there were only a few of us. I was so excited to come to class and have so many people to train with! I have been training at Ivey League ever since. Although I admit It can be a bit intimidating, especially for an older woman like myself ( now on my 50's) it's not what you think at all. The men might have big muscles with lots of tattoos but as I quickly found out, these are some of the nicest, friendliest and happiest people you're ever going to meet. No egos, bad attitudes, or wanna-be-tough-guys, there's none of them here. It's very friendly and inclusive to everyone - no matter their age or sex. Very family friendly. Anytime I had a question about anything there was always someone, either an instructor or another student, available to help me. I've trained at MANY other martial arts places and But there's just something about Ivey league that's truly unique. Walking into the gym is like coming home.
