Mike, the owner, has been wonderful to work with from the start. He really listened to everything we wanted and was always willing to make adjustments when we changed our minds or wanted to tweak something. When unforeseen circumstances came up, he responded quickly and worked with us every step of the way. Everyone on their crew has been polite, professional, and incredibly helpful. They do excellent work, answer questions patiently, and always clean up at the end of the day. We especially appreciate how kind and patient they have been with our two very curious puppies constantly trying to "supervise" the project. Courtney designed our master bathroom remodel, and she has been amazing. She has fantastic taste, great ideas, and communicates so well throughout the process. She truly listens to your style, wants, and budget. I also appreciated how honest she was when something might clash or not work well, while still respecting our choices and never making us feel pressured or talked down to. This addition and remodel is a major investment, and Bergstrom's quote was one of the highest we received. That said, we absolutely believe they are worth the price. They go above and beyond, stand behind their work, and provide quality craftsmanship and customer service that is hard to find. The workers were nice and helpful but when the quality of workmanship and items included were questioned, the owner got irritated and made statements that were clearly unprofessional. We were able to discuss the issues and get resolution. My recommendation if using this company especially is to write down all work in detail of what you expect and not leave open statements like complete restoration in the contract because what you might think that includes does not from there interruption. Also even though it says painting on the side of there van, I was told many times after the first payment, "I don't normally do finishing work and painting". The job at my house included drywall work, a complete bathroom reconstruction, multiple walls finishing and painting, two rooms with drop ceilings installed and multiple room floor installation as well as two custom showers. In my opinion this was too big of a project for Lawrence's and if done over, instead of having an email sent to discuss items to be done, I would have demanded all items be itemized on the contract. Just be cautious and demand every detail in writing before they start or you will find yourself going over budget to get the things done to your satisfaction.

My husband called Ideal to see if someone could come out to take measurements and give us an estimate. The business owner came out the same day. He arrived earlier than he had promised, and emailed us a typed detailed estimate (itemized down to the number of posts, gate hinges, latches, labor, etc.). Even better, they accept credit cards and payment occurs after the entire job is complete. We had multiple quotes for the job, but decided on Ideal due to their professionalism, promptness, recommendations from friends, and pricing. The work they've done around town looks great, too! We decided on a 6' cedar privacy fence with treated posts. As for the install, Ideal set up all of the locate services for the utilities the day before they were going to arrive. They showed up early and set posts the first day. On Day 2, they finished setting the rest of the posts and started framing. Day 3 was more framing and pickets, and Day 4 was the rest of the pickets and gate construction, finishing work, and clean up. We had about 400 linear feet of fencing, so this was a large project. During the installation: the crew was incredibly detail-oriented, professional (wore company shirts), organized, and respectful. The area that they were working was always tidy and clean. I was happily surprised to see that the business owner was there every day! He made sure everything looked perfect. After the job was complete, the owner came back to walk through & make sure we were happy with the completed fence. We paid the exact amount that was estimated and the job was completed on schedule.
