In 3 treatments over the last 8 days I went from hardship in basic daily activities to able to return to my PT. She has been a true angel for me and has a loyal client in me. Her passion and love for massage and helping people to heal shines so bright and truly plays into how excellent she helps you feel. Side note she found a problem area since I was a teenager and just worked it despite my being their for the other things. That awareness and care really sets one apart. The massage was just what I needed, she applied the perfect pressure and spoke a bit to me, but not the whole time so I could relax. I know I had some tightness in my shoulder and upper back, which she advised in coming in monthly to get worked out. You could tell Jen had a lot of experience and focused on all the areas I was having issues with, giving extra attention to my sore neck and back. She used the perfect amount of pressure. It's a smaller day spa, with a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The waiting room is nice and bright, everyone is friendly, and Monica is definitely a professional who knows her trade. I first knew I liked her when they offered the bed warmer, and was sold when she spoke science to me. LOL! She really takes her time to get to know you, your skin, and your concerns. She educates you about what could be causing it, what the underlying issues might be, and how she can help and how you can help maintain the results and care for your skin at home. Before proceeding with the Silk Peel, she took care to explain how it worked on a superficial level AND molecularly, and brushed my arm with the device so I knew what to expect to feel before she began work on my face. I could see results IMMEDIATELY after, in both texture and firmness/hydration of my skin. The days following, I could see some acne wanting to erupt (which she warned me about) but I listened to her about not picking at anything and just let it do its thing. There's no reception desk, only a waiting area. Leah came out from the back, and I asked if there were any available appointments that day. Fortunately, she had an opening a couple hours later. You can also call or book appointments online. I filled out an intake form, and Leah gave me a hour long medical massage (the price point for a medical massage is between a swedish massage and a deep tissue massage). I tucked myself in between the sheets, and the sheets were heavenly. Some places you start face up, others you start face down. Here, we started face up. Leah asked me what type of pressure I liked. I like medium pressure to work out the knots. She gave me a fantastic massage with oils, and I asked for more time on my neck and shoulders, and she paid attention to those areas. I liked that afterward she explained to me the areas she found to be tight. Communication with a massage therapist is important to get what you're looking for. Also due to covid, we both wore masks. I felt comfortable that masks are required.
