The staff is friendly and answered all questions. The meat was great. I'll be taking more there.

They can provide and understand any cuts of meat, and they will remember you by name, year after year, when you start using their services. As a bonus, they keep detailed books of records on your previous orders, so they can easily help you decide on how you want your game to be processed. Your game must be field-dressed, but I would expect that of any qualified hunter. They have a great number of options for fully smoked and/or cured meats, and they are even apologetic to you when calling you to pick up you meat, if there were any problems with the processing (sometimes, a hunter will leave a bit of bile while dressing their animal, and it ruins some cuts of meat...this should be a lesson to the hunter, but CSH has always been apologetic to me, upon my family's errors). Check their website for regular hours of operation. For times that are out of regular deer-season, they are glued to their phone and can make meetup times for you to deliver wild-game. I recently inquired about the TX "Hunters for the Hungry" program, as we needed a few more does to be culled from properties. CSH keeps a list of their former customers (people whose husband/wife has passed, or is too-old to hunt for on reason or another, people who have lost their lease, and other reasons), and you can also donate to their own private-program. I've, personally, donated to this program, as I think the meat-products will be better-used by those who know how to cook a well-handled and well-harvested wild-game-animal.

For years I have been taking my deer there for processing, and have been very pleased. But this…read moreyear,2023, is not the same. I dropped a deer off on Dec 2 with Zue's brother accepting the deer, because Marion wasn't there. Filled out all the paper work as always. So called on the 5th to check on my order, and Zue said Marion would call me back. Well it never happened. So today i called again, which is the 12th, and got the same story, still no call back. Guess i lost the deer to them, but now I am going to get the game warden involved. So if I were you, don't take your deer there. They will give you the runaround as they did me. On nov. 11 we shot a buck and called them and they were going to be closed till morning. They Informed me that It was going to be $129 for a buck and 1$ a pound If Its quartered like its always been. So I quartered the deer went in the next morning and dropped it off and Marion himself told me it would be 77 dollars when I picked it up. Well I was working so my father went to pick it up and they charged him double the price quoted.($154) When I heard about it I said no big deal hes a good guy and ill go let him know. So went there with another deer and brought it up to him and he lied straight to my face saying he never said that. My wife was there and she heard him to and she even asked him ( you said 77lbs at a dollar a pd) and he said (well the paper went up and spices went up and cost of living) he laughs. I just leave and never going back. Please people get the price in writing.! ! Why would anyone help them out by quartering it so they could get charged more. Doesnt make sense. Please people get it in writing since his word is no good. He does good work but just cant trust him.!!
