It is a co-operative, so every family is a member of the school and has a vote on how the preschool operates, and well as the opportunity to attend their child's class as a volunteer! The families who look for cooperative preschool want to give their time and efforts to create a close knit school environment. Our children loved their time at Mayfair, and I was really happy with the sweet family-like environment. The parent board made decisions that were in the best interest of both families and school. Each parent gets a job within the school & works scheduled days in the classroom & nursery. This is actually one of the main reasons why I chose Mayfair. I love being in the classroom with my daughter to see how she interacts with her friends & get a glimpse at what her school days are like. I also love working in the nursery, it gives me a chance to get to know the siblings of Mayfair. Ms. Amanda is an amazing teacher. The way she interacts with the children is thoughtful and respectful. She gives the children a variety of options to explore and create through play and activities. Their app allows us to know and see what our girls are doing throughout the day by providing updates and photos of all activities.
