I am an Early Childhood Educator who recently had the opportunity to observe classroom dynamics at Building Blocks Preschool for several hours. I was thoroughly impressed with what I saw. The school offers high quality experiences not only to children, but also to parents and staff members. The campus includes beautiful indoor and outdoor classrooms that are thoughtfully set up with activity offerings for children. I observed the intentionally of the teachers to create a curriculum that matches the unique interests and skill levels of the children in their care. The growth of the children is then lovingly documented in learning stories and evidence that is displayed throughout the campus. I walked away inspired to incorporate in my own classroom many of the things I saw. If I were raising young children in the Highland area, I would certainly enroll them at Building Blocks. read more

I'm so thankful for Building Blocks and the experience our son had there. He started when he was 18 months, so he was there since 2018 to the end of summer 2022. We couldn't recommend them enough. They have helped foster his creativity and independence, as well as help him learn how to manage his emotions and communicate with others. He has made some great friends and he (as well as us, his parents) will miss all the amazing teachers on staff. The staff is chosen carefully to make sure they are a good fit for the school's philosophies. We will really miss the nature based play and plan to send him back to summer camp next year. read more

Building Blocks is THE best. My son was there from the time he was 2 years old until kindergarten, and for many summer camps after. He made life long friends, immeasurable personal growth, and has so many cherished memories from his time at Building Blocks. I absolutely loved the teachers there, their Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy, and the leadership of Suzanne Gabli, Building Blocks Executive Director. My son graduated from preschool with self-confidence, empathy, a love for nature, and the tools he needed to be successful in kindergarten and elementary. Both of our children attend Building Blocks and absolutely love it. The teachers are incredibly kind of truly love each of the children. Just by observing them with my children, I've learned so much. I highly recommend this wonderful school. read more
