This place was AMAZING! I got a pina colada and it was charming. And then the appetizers were delicious. I got tacos and they were not bad but the real winner was the whole cooked snapper. Even my son who is picky was eating the fin off it like a chip. My kids started going at it, my daughter took the eye and played with it. Lol she also was trying to open the fish mouth but they were eating it. And they loved it. I tried a piece it was delicious. The silverware was cute, my baby wanted to take their French fry bucket home. She loved her food they loved the flags. It was windy nice sunset, with a beach view. Right next to Luquillo , on the way out the owner stopped us asking how it was she is beautiful and so is her restaurant! Only Complaint I have is that they didn't play Spanish music i heard mainstream and drake and I discontinued listening to that. Of the owner put on Hispanic music this place will be absolutely perfect spot , I'm sure they play it sometimes but I'd like to hear more. But man that fish was epic! This place is amazing! The food was amazing! I had the spiked lobster and my fiancé and her sister each got mofongo every one was more than pleased! The staff was super friendly and helpful with food and drink selections! I even got a tattoo artist recommendation from one of the staff and I found that super helpful! My youngest son loved all of the fire fighter decor around the restaurant, I couldn't get him away from the fire truck! Highly recommend coming here! read more

Great view of Luquillo Beach. This is one of the many kiosks offering eats and drinks. We chose here for rooftop dining and mofungo. Ordered appetizers--empanadas. So little meat in them we could not determine which were chicken and which were beef. Not impressed. My original mojito did not have much flavor, the passion fruit was much better. Our server did an excellent job. The octopus mofungo (garlicky fried green plantains with pork rinds and broth with tender calamares) was really great! I had the bean salad with chips. Employees were working hard--no Island time here. Check for karaoke night. It was just getting started as we headed out on a Tuesday evening. read more

As I sit here waiting for my dessert to arrive, I'm between 3 and 4 stars because the service is so slow. Is this my issue? Should I be more in tune to PR time? The food is really solid and I'm a nice guy so I'm going four star. Fish of the day was sautéed perfectly and the garlic sauce was true to its name. Loved the rice and beans side. 4 Leches dessert was a nice finish. This is the only place on the row of eateries that I had non- fried choices. I ordered Mofongo with vegetables creole sauce. I hated it and they used frozen vegetables which is biggest turn off. The creole sauce is not flavorful at all. I also need to be careful here, I think Colombians own this place, so things are just a little off. But very nice people and good service, albeit you got to be used to the pace of getting your food. They have empanadas, in PR they are empanadillas at best or pastelillos, my youngest even knew the difference. It's like they were wapped in corn, whats up with that. Shrimp seemed undercooked a bit but my wife usually likes her seafood cooked well. Mofongo was good according to my eldest but too much butter. (I thought it looked weird because she ordered veggie mofongo and it was basically like half a bag of mixed vegetable, I didn't even know cauliflower was allowed in PR) Yuca frita was good, which agains bring me to the point that you got frialators at like 400 degrees, what's up with the tostones. Drinks are good (but the mojitos are sweet and I think they are sprite and not soda water) and they got both magna and medalla on draft if you are in the mood for a cold drafty. But lets talk real here, the chuletas kan kan were off the hook amazing, great seasoning for one of the few foods I've only had in PR and not on the mainland, Thankful that I didn't have lunch and could feast on this beautiful monstrosity that you could probably split with a buddy (but why). And it was 23 bucks with a side of habichuelas y arroz so you should jump on that damn stuff quick like. read more

The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations. I had the Mofongo Shrimp with garlic cream sauce. The dish is made with plantane and which I am not a big fan of. This dish totally changed my mind. It was the best tasting combination of spice and ingredients and wasn't your everyday plantane dish. Highly recommend! read more

Red snapper was good. Fish tacos were good. It changed with the communication. Our server was new, so we understand that makes a difference, however, we were told on several occasions that Patron shots were $3. We ordered several. Once the bill came, we were quite flummoxed in the amount because it was more than $3 a shot. She then said she did not say that. However, on multiple occasions we asked about the price to be sure. The manager came out and said that we were wrong (we were not) but okay, we will pay what is on the receipt. It's not a factor of money but the principle of what was said that was not honored. One of the first place we went to when staying in Rio Grande. The food is pretty good and the staff is very friendly. The price is a little bit more than expected but we also did order a Caribbean lobster which are pretty expensive to begin with in Puerto Rico. Overall good food good staff and really good ambience. Check it out you won't be disappointed. Also definitely get a mojito they are made fresh and are super refreshing! read more

Those hoping for cheap local eats can find less expensive kiosks, but there is more care in this food and better presentation. Good for little kids as there's a fire truck you can sit in. Service was pretty bad - our food took nearly an hour to come, and appetizers we specifically asked to be brought with the main course came upwards of a half an hour before. The place itself is a bit rundown, although it's in the kiosk area so you shouldn't be expecting much in that department. The food itself was pretty solid - the fish tacos were stellar, and the colombiana paisa was simple and filling. The appetizers were tasty, although they didn't seem like they were made in-house and I'm sure you could get better finger food at any of the kiosks nearby that make their own. If you're looking for a nicer sit-down place among the kiosks, you could probably do better. read more

The garlic coconut Shrimps really good I dipped my empanada in the sauce! i had the churrasco and it was good with some plátano maduros or amarillos as called in PR. We went to A Fuego on Christmas night with a large group (8), and we had a fantastic experience. The food was great, the staff were attentive and good-spirited, and the drinks were delicious. Be sure to explore the variety of sauces they offer for any dish- they were all great. Though we were a large group and taking up a lot of space, we were never rushed, and had a wonderful chat with the owner, who explained the fire and firefighter theme of the restaurant as well as a lot of other interesting things about the restaurant and the community. Would have opted for zero stars if the service was not par! The waiter was very attentive and spoke fluent English. He even went out of his way to recommend a few local spots to check out during our stay. My son ordered the burger. For a restaurant that specializes in fire ... this chef sure as shit doesn't know how to work the grill ! My sons medium rare, burger was a hockey puck, hard as a rock. When we questioned the waiter he said he would take care of it and offer something else. My son asked for a bowl of rice .. (you can't mess that up in a reasonable amount of time ... considering the food took over an hour) When we received the bill they charged us for the rice and burger. We questioned the waiter, however the manager refused to credit the un eaten "hockey puck". Don't waste your time here ... way to many other spots that look great on this strip ! read more
