His company is one that was recommended by Angi and honestly now I am skeptical of Angi and will never use them again either after this experience. We wanted trek stairs going from the patio to a side door and pavers all around as the patio. Gramarossa are not professionals. The guys they hire seem to be randomly plucked off the street as they have no clue what they were doing. I should have known because when I spoke to Ben he said they did not do trek steps, only masonry. I set an appointment anyway because I figured maybe I can hire someone else to do my trek steps. Yet when he spoke to my husband a few days later (I was at work) he said they do them. It was a disaster from the moment the backyard pavers were laid out. The whole thing was literally slanted sideways by probably 10-15 degrees. In fact the next day the whole thing had to take down and redone. Ben claimed it happened unfortunately because he was not watching his men because he was too busy shopping for our trek materials. The trek steps was done by a man from an entirely different company. It seems they have hired him separately on the side to do it so they can have our business... and it was a SHOTTY job. Ben and his father was watching the man do the work and never said anything about how terrible it was... until we brought it up and they agreed it was not up to their standards. So If we were timid and didn't say anything, they would've definitely let it slide. Whatever. I was just glad they fixed everything without putting up a fight. But here's the thing that really made me angry. His men put their materials and mixed concrete on own brand new asphalt done the year prior, with no protection whatsoever so half of our newly done asphalt was sprinkled with dried concrete. Sadly we did not notice it when we paid because there was still dust and debri all thoughout and it was wet (they attempted to clean) so it was hard to see the stains. That is our fault for not noticing. But I'm annoyed because they knew it happened. I captured the entire thing on my ring camera where they were cleaning and the worker called Ben and his father over to show him the stains that did not come out. They stayed there for a long time trying to clean but it did not come out. No one said a word to us. I contacted Ben via text a week or so later after noticing the huge stains to which he denied it happened and that the stains came out. He said he will come by to power wash it to see if it would come out. We told him we tried. He said he will come by nonetheless but of course never showed up. He said his asphalt guy is not answering and is busy. That was the last of that. So... don't be cheap and hire these guys. I wish I had not.

I already knew the old roof needed to be replaced but had dreaded going through the process. With a giant rain and wind storm coming the next day, Nancy called and actually arranged to have Gus Anax do the repair ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON so that I would not have to deal with the damage that was sure to ensue! I was amazed to have come across a company that actually cares, especially to this extent, about a potential customer! I have never before had the pleasure of such kind professionals working with me in so attentive a manner before. The repair was done, and I was able to sleep soundly through the storm rather than watching my ceiling collapse! Going forward, I received a quote to have my old roof replaced that was absolutely within the price range I was expecting. Of course, I was delighted to receive a quote that I could afford but equally important, I felt a full sense of confidence in going ahead with the folks at Anax. They were very professional and informative, not to mention patient, throughout the process of selecting the roof material and giving me an understanding of the roofing process. They could not have been more helpful to this rather nervous customer. I need not have had any anxiety about having this job done, thanks to Gus Anax Home Improvements' professionalism and expertise! Gus and his team of skilled workmen set to work methodically and with great care. They were a pleasure to have at my house. I honestly do not have one single thing to say in the way of even the smallest complaint. Rather, I can only praise this fine company. What a great experience this has been, start to finish. With my wonderful new roof, my house looks far better than I could even have imagined. The roof is so pretty and greatly enhances the entire appearance of my property. (I have greenish-grey siding with dark green trim/red front door - - I went with Colonial Slate for the roof, and honestly, it looks like a storybook house -- exactly the effect I was going for!) My neighbors have all commented on how great the house looks and how charming the new roof makes it. In closing, I am delighted, in every way, to have had this job done by Gus Anax Home Improvements and plan to continue to enjoy having all my home needs taken care of by them. As such a satisfied customer, I was thrilled to learn of their full line of services. I cannot recommend Gus Anax Home Improvements highly enough. THANK YOU Gus, Nancy, & Co.!!!

Paul, the owner, gained my trust instantly with his professional and personable manner. Paul was by my side throughout the entire process. For example, he brought me to the flooring store where he assisted me with picking the flooring with the best quality that would work for my home. Everyday, Paul showed up to the house and checked on progress and addressed anything that needed attention. Paul said everything would be done in 4 weeks. After seeing how well the renovations were going, I kept adding additional things to be done including a large beautiful built in for my den which has become the favorite room in the house. Everything was completely finished in 4 weeks. The crew showed up everyday on time. They were respectful, clean and helped out with extra things where needed. I have dealt with tons of construction companies and never had this exceptional experience. After working with Paul, I now consider him and First Impressions part of my family. Thank you to everyone from First Impressions.

It was a large project that required a bathroom addition, added wood flooring, wall removal, a beam support system, existing kitchen/bathroom expansion, and overall updating on all esthetics including windows, doors, etc. Not only was the job done to perfection, but it was also completed earlier than expected as Nelson and his crew are experts in what they do and are highly diligent, competent, reliable, and fast.  To top it all off, Nelson came in exactly on budget to his initial estimate.   Since our initial introduction and the first house renovation described, Nelson has been hired by me continually to do EVERY contracting project I always need. Additionally, I have recommended him to friends and family for both large and small projects and the reaction to Nelson and his work is always the same: "he's really fantastic, as is his work".   I will never use anyone else for contracting work both inside and outside of our home except Nelson.
