The last of the famous Fader's Tobacconist stores in Maryland. Once they had four, now only one, location. The humidors are bare, but the staff is friendly. One hopes that they will be able to get more inventory in since they've reduced their bills down to what a single store accrues, but it seems like the management is still oblivious to the causes of their downfall.
I understand the hardship that comes with running a smoking business in this day and age, but many companies have battled the changes of the time and -most importantly- adapted to them. Fader's has not.
Fader's will die because they think it's still the 1990s, and it's a shame. It used to be the flagship of Maryland, and was what got me into the wonderful world of cigars and pipes. I've spent a lot of money at their business, but there is no longer anything in their store to buy.
It will be missed when the last door is finally locked. read more
