Danielle met with us multiple times to understand the vision the grooms were looking for, and made many suggestions on food, amenities, etc. as we were planning for "The Big Party". On the day of the event, Danielle and her assistant showed up early and assured us that anything that was needed, they would take care of and they were true to their word! They spent the day not only making sure that our backyard looked like something out of a fairy tale, but that the grooms were getting all of the attention to detail that they wanted. They even made sure the boys ate during the party and continued to check on everything until the last guest left for the evening. The whole event was a resounding success. We were so incredibly happy with the job that Danielle and her team did, she made our son's dreams come true and that's all we could have asked for. Our venue provided a coordinator, but we were concerned that we would not receive the attention to detail that we were looking for. Danielle hit it out of the park! From day one, she took over managing the contracts with all of our vendors, fielded all calls and questions from them, was always available to answer our endless questions, etc. But I can honestly say that our actual wedding day would not have turned out as wonderful as it was if Danielle and her lovely assistant Fran were not on site to make sure everything went perfectly. They set everything up according to the floorplan we created together, made sure everything went as planned, broke down and boxed up everything afterwards, and then even loaded our vehicle. I'm talking about those guys who love nothing more than to hear their own voices and keep the mic glued to their mouths for the entire 4 hours...the guys who insist on dragging reluctant guests to the dance floor for The Chicken Dance and The Electric Slide (in some cases when they were specifically told NOT to play those songs)...the guys who have a creepily good time with the sunglasses, leis, and blow up instruments....the guys who SING OVER the music....you know what I'm talking about. We've all seen THOSE guys. Well, Greg is NOT one of those guys. He's really laid back and professional. He plays what you want and doesn't play what you don't. He keeps things moving without making himself the center of attention. If you WANT the props and The Cha Cha Slide (or whatever it's called), he will definitely play them for you, but if you don't, he's cool with that. He basically caters his performance to whatever your preferences are and respects your choices. Basically, he's just a really reliable, professional DJ. He was open to supplying music while guest entered, for the ceremony itself, cocktail hour and the reception. About a month before the wedding, Tom had us fill out a questionnaire covering music types, toasts, specific songs, dances, and times for different events. A week out, Tom contacted us by phone to confirm the details of our wedding day. He was able to find the obscure versions of songs that we requested. Tom arrived early and had his equipment setup before guests arrived. Tom played a nice selection of music at the perfect volume while our family and friends found their seats. During the ceremony Tom was spot on when each song began and when they needed to fade out. Once the reception started Tom's talents as a DJ shined. The music was great and tailored to our crowd. He strictly enforced our no rap or country, which was awesome. Tom surprised everybody when he started to play multiple instruments live! Completely unknown to us Tom invited his lovely girlfriend Stacy to sing. She too is very talented and has a beautiful voice. These artists wowed the room! We consider ourselves to be very organized and when looking for vendors for our wedding we wanted to ensure that whomever we decided to go with was also very organized and detailed. Neither of us have attended many weddings so we were a little lost in the clouds with what to expect and what to look for when deciding on our reception's entertainment. After reading numerous reviews on how wonderfully detailed and organized Chris was, we thought we might have found a winner. After first meeting with Chris, we felt very at ease and relaxed as if we were just hanging out with a friend. Chris knows his music. Not just one genre either. He's a well-versed encyclopedia of all aspects of music. Chris was very receptive to our requests of the style of music we wanted to hear at our ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception. While we both enjoy different types of music we were a little overwhelmed with which artists to go with and decided to trust Chris with the majority of the selections. We had a few "must play" songs which Chris made sure that we heard. Chris went above and beyond to ensure not only that we were happy but also to ensure that our guests were dancing and smiling the whole time. Our wedding had a few 90+ year olds and we were unsure if they would be able to get up and dance. However, Chris knew exactly what to play to bring them to the floor. Walkers and all, our grandparents were able to share the dance floor with us to create an unforgettable memory for our entire family. We also want to point out how punctual Chris is. We are very punctual people and we believe that if you're not early, you're late. Chris was always early. He always beat us to our meetings. We could go on and on for days about Chris' professionalism. I wanted to surprise my wife with a song that I wanted to play for her on acoustic guitar at the reception and Chris was not only happy to oblige, but was very excited to make it happen. We spoke on the phone over the weeks leading up to our big day. Chris walked me through the process of what equipment he was going to use and how he would introduce me to the reception. Chris was also accompanied by another DJ named Joe who was equally professional and kind. We met Joe the day of the reception and it felt like we knew him for many years. We were both completely at ease with our decision and had no worries about anything. We felt comfortable and relaxed and a big part of that was because he made sure everyone got to the dance floor, if even for just a few moments. Chris always greeted us with a warm smile and helped us create a timeline that coincided with our venue to make sure everything flowed properly. He wanted to save us from as much stress possible and requested the contact information of all of our vendors so he could speak directly with the venue about the schedule for the day-of timelines, the videographers about microphones, officiant about speeches and introductions, etc. We cannot express how grateful we were to not have to be the middleman and just provide Chris with names and phone numbers and wait for his "everyone's on the same page" email! Our venue expressed how easy and flawless it was working with Chris and that some other DJs cause them headaches. Chris seemed to make the day go easy and smoothly for everyone involved. We also went with a Photobooth through Futurescapes Entertainment and Chris was able to use our wedding template which was created specifically for our wedding. This ensured everything was cohesive throughout our entire wedding. If you're looking for a DJ who knows his craft, understands the business and is eager to please then Futurescapes Entertainment is hands down the best choice you can make.
