It was quite a substantial amount of money due to the length of time and holiday rates. Two weeks after I paid, I was told they were no longer boarding and would issue me a refund, though they weren't quite sure how they were going to do that. By January 2025, I had heard nothing from them on my refund. I had even been charged two more times for grooming services. When I ask them about paying me back, they asked if they could do it in increments as they are a small business and couldn't afford to pay back the entire amount at one time. (even though I am required to pay the entire amount at one time for their services.) I agreed, and they issued me two small payments this spring. I am still owed $586. Their business is now closed they are in the wind, and they still have my money! These are the current owners, Ed and Chel Donnelly. I am happy to remove this review once they pay me back for services they did not render.

He is clean and looking sharp with his haircut. Third, I couldn't pick up my dog in time before they closed due to my baby sleeping so I paid extra and she brought him home to me! That last part I am SOOO grateful for! It's a hard time getting my baby to sleep so I hate waking him up. No other groomers would do that! Oh and they are affordable! Why go anywhere else?

This was my first time taking my dog Jack to the puppy parlor in Lenexa. Usually, I take Jack back…read morehome since I'm from California, but recently moved to Kansas City. I was a bit nervous to see what groomers were out there, but I saw that this place had excellent reviews and in this case, it was an emergency I had found a tick on my dog and wanted to make sure that we took precautions got him groomed and treated. I called the puppy parlor and right away. They booked me for the first availability that they had the same day. It was a miracle and I was so grateful to be able to get a spot. They were very professional and thorough. They asked me questions about the dog. If I had any concerns, they listed the pricing over the phone of their services so I had an idea before walking in once I got off the phone they sent me a confirmation text and a form to fill out that was super easy to do any additional questions that I had the team was on and super quick to respond and pass along any messages I have for the groomer. When I got to the location to drop off Jack, they were very friendly super quick with checking us in the groomer came out and she was amazing. She made sure to introduce herself to Jack. She went over any concerns that I had or that she has regarding the grooming, great communication skills overall, and I'd love that she made sure that my dog felt safe with her before she took him. She even got to ground-level to introduce herself once I dropped off Jack. They let me know that they would call me and then I can go pick them up. They sent me a text once he was ready and I went to go pick up Jack once I got inside they immediately brought him out and he looked amazing. He was clean. He was happy which is overall the best thing that I can expect he didn't seem scared or skittish he seemed confident and a happy pup. The grooming came out. Perfect he smelled amazing his nails and everything was done perfect perfectly. I am thrilled to have found this place and will definitely be coming back for our regular grooming. Thank you so much to the team and I look forward to coming back soon.

I'm posting this because the salon was not honest with me about what happened…read more At my dog's recent appointment, her coat was cut down to one inch in length, which is not appropriate for a long‑haired, double‑coated Great Pyrenees. She did need a sanitary trim, but there was absolutely no reason to cut her short all over her body. When I reached out to ask what happened, I was told this length was "based on a previous visit." This is false -- she has been groomed regularly for seven years and has never had her coat cut short. At drop‑off, my husband clearly stated that he did not want her cut too short because of her double coat. He did not request, approve, or suggest a one‑inch shave, and the cut she received does not match anything he pointed to on their chart. Despite that, she was shaved to one of the shortest lengths on their chart, and the salon later implied this was his choice. It was not. Our veterinarian has now advised us to limit her sun exposure due to how short her coat was cut. This has never been necessary before. When I reached out privately, the salon provided information that was not true. When I pointed out the discrepancy, they chose not to respond further. Because of the lack of honesty and the inappropriate cut, we will not be returning.

She get's incredibly anxious, and it's the only time you'll see an ounce of spice from this girl. He worked hard to find a place that would not only put up with her quirks, but would work to put her at ease. He found it in Old Mill Pet Grooming. He lived in two separate apartments before we moved in together - from Waldo to Lenexa - but he would travel up to 25 minutes each way because it was worth it. When we got married and moved in together two years ago - we continued going there (adding my dog Archie to the mix). The same service. The same smiles. The same kindness. Unfortunately, we're moving (hopefully the last time for a while!), and we'll just be too far away to continue to make the trips. When we realized this, we were both legitimately sad. In fact, today was our last trip there, and I wrote a thank you note. When you find people that love your fur babies the way you do - you know you've found special people. All that is to say - I strongly recommend these folks!
