I chose to work directly with them instead of going through a third party to have some high-end fleeces and vests embroidered with our company logo and they turned out absolutely beautiful. One of the women who worked on our pieces has 20 years of experience and it shows in the quality of the embroidery. Their prices are very fair and worth the drive to Westland to drop things off and pick them up; I'm sure you could also have items shipped directly to them to be embroidered. Every time I went in, they seemed to be very busy, but they always made time for me and even put a rush on an order for me when I left out a few pieces. Thanks to them, I still hit my deadline! I worked directly with Marisa, but everyone I met was very helpful and the process was very smooth. I look forward to working with them every year.

Located in Ypsi's Depot Town, you cant help but want to pop in and check the place out as you're passing by. I did just that on a recent evening in Depot Town, as I had some time before our dinner reservation. As we walked past the shop, we realized we had never stopped in and decided to run in and check it out. Billing itself as a modern general store, you get the vibe of an old time general store with the rustic wooden floor, antique cash register, and basic necessities next to said cash register. But throughout the store, there are unique and handmade offerings on every shelf, table, and inch of wall space. I took my time looking over everything that evening, filing away gift ideas for friends and family as I saw items I think they would love. I also loved the Michigan- and Ypsi-themed gifts to celebrate local spirit. A friendly employee offered to help us find anything we needed, and while the only thing I had in mind was a very specific gift for a friend from my homestate, I knew I would definitely be back to buy that special something for special someones at some point. The next time you need a unique gift item, or something that celebrates pride in Ypsi and local businesses, duck into Brick and Mortar to find just the thing!

I have stopped in twice on tight turns and Greg was able to fix my bag ASAP. I recently had a problem with an item I purchased from the web store. I had the product in question replaced in record time without a problem or BS. The stop over store on the web and in DTW understand customer service. This is something sadly lacking in business today. I happy to say this is one company that does get it and treats it's customers right. Shop here and you won't be disappointed.

I came into this experience with out any product knowledge and thanks to Johnathan I feel like I am walking away with a better understanding of how much passion and soul he puts into every piece of art that he creates. When you have a meeting with him take the time to ask questions about the different types of wood, how it's made and other materials that he works with. It will enhance your knowledge of the product but also allow you the opportunity to see how much passion he puts into his work. His work is so much more than a pen with excellent craftsmanship. It is an extension of his soul and each piece is unique and one of a kind. The practical side is evident in the price, function and quality and it's hard not to feel like your writing with something special all day long. Thank you Johnathan, your a find. Best~Robert

We didn't have to look far, as Rozwell was lying on a display table right near the entrance! He is so cute and sniffed our hands and got a few pets. I didn't bug him too much as he seemed content to just nap. We learned that he is 20(!!!) years old and there is another shop cat that we didn't see. Moving on, this store is super cool. They have tons of interesting things including lots of crystals, clothing, accessories, gifts, jewelry, and more. The shop also has their production facility in the back. I wonder if they do tours! They are known for using actual manhole covers in Detroit to make prints on clothing, which I think is really cool and would make a great souvenir for any Detroit lover. I had a blast looking around at everything and loved some of the vintage prints on shirts, as well as what I assume are original designs. This is a great shop for finding a gift for the coolest person in your life, or for you, because you are cool. We bought a bag of Kitty Town coffee to take home and I'm excited to come back the next time I'm in town.
