Kiddie Academy of Millersville

Kiddie Academy of Millersville

We started with Kiddie Academy not too long after they opened (May 1, 2017). We started with my…read moreson there when he was almost 2 and he stayed up until August 2018. I love this place. A few of the challenges I was facing when I was looking for a daycare center were the times there were open and whether they offered meals. The few I did find in the local area either opened too late/closed too early or required us to bring their meals. With our household having full-time working parents we needed both these challenges to be covered. This is where Kiddie Academy came along. I drive on Jumper's Hole Road regularly and saw this place as it was being built. I emailed them and sat down with Dana, the owner. This center met everything we needed: early start of 0630; all meals provided; clean and fun facilities for the children. An added bonus were the Tadpoles and WatchMeGrow apps. WatchMeGrow let us watch our children on their cameras and Tadpoles kept us updated on changes, gave us daily reports, and posted fun photos of our children. The facility is wonderful. They have an on-site kitchen with a chef. Each room has great toys for each age group and couches they can read on. The playground is great and I love that it's AstroTurf (no grass stains!). They also have trikes and water days when it's nice outside. The Dana and the staff are always so welcoming and always greeted my children when they first entered (my then 5 year old went to their summer camp in 2017). Everyone there felt like a family for my children. When they were both there, both couldn't wait to spend the days there with the teachers and their friends. Both of them learned so much during his time there. Today Kiddie Academy is the first place we think of and contact when we need drop in care. It's always nice to come back to the same welcoming environment that I trust and my children love.

They somehow got my review not showing on google but here it is! In the photo…read more Terrible place to bring your children. The sad part is when a person have to work they have to deal with the consequences of dealing with terrible daycare facilities. First off the cook at this establishment is very nasty and unclean. His clothes are very dirty and smells bad and he walks around touching food and doorknobs with his bare hands. A typical breakfast there would be a single cup of yogurt, or a blue berry muffin, or simply just a plain waffle. They don't feed the kids a real breakfast and it's high in sugar. My child was brought food and on his last day there they remembered he couldn't eat their food but didn't get him his snack until 20 mins after giving the other kids gold fish. It was heart breaking watching my child cryin to the adults for food and attempting to grab the kids goldfish. Not to mention one of the staff members stood next to them on his phone the whole time. I told them and even provided a doctors note that my child isn't allowed to have milk but they actually poured him milk on serval occasions after being reminded and he was even able to get other kids cup of milk. They say they do family style dining but they don't sit with them while they eat so if your child has a deadly allergy to any food do not and I repeat DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!!
