They have an extensive menu of local flavors. I so wanted to try them all but portions are huge.
Two of us shared the cabbage with blood sausage and pork. It came out in a huge bowl which was more than plenty for us. Especially since we had the bread on the side.
The stew was delicious. It had two kinds of blood sausage, maybe even three, and lots of chinks of pork that melted in our mouths. The stew was tasty and probably one of the healthiest meals we have had since being here in Portugal.
For dessert we tried the honey flan. It was more cake like than flan like and extremely sweet. Glad I tried it but not for me.
As a final drink, we were offered shots of madronho mixed with honey, cinnamon, and lemon. Im not much of a fan of the pure madronho but this mixed drink was excellent. read more
