We definitely lucked out when we found this quaint little place in the Matosinhos area of Porto. We knew that this is area is where you go for great seafood but we had no specifics. After we parked our car and walked towards the water and this place was right in front of us. After the customary window smudging with our noses and cheeks we looked at each other, smiled and walked right in. The place did not disappoint. We were greeted by one of the two waiters, since there were only one other table there for lunch we had their undivided attention. They brought out the customary bread, butter and olives (love the olives in Portugal), they took us to see the fish. I picked the Portuguese sea bass. The fish was perfectly prepared, presented and served. Other dishes we had, prawns, steamed clams and octopus salad were lovely and delicious as well. A nice bottle of Cartuxa white from Evora washed everything down perfectly. We love the coziness of the establishment and will be back if we are ever again in this area. read more
