I've gone through this station a couple of times. It's somewhat busy, but you can usually find a…read moreplace to sit while you wait for your train to arrive. The station isn't super clean but the seats are usually clean. The station isn't too far from the city centre so it's a good way to spend a day in Cork. It's supposed to have free WiFi but it wasn't working today, not sure if that's a regular occurrence or not. There is a shop and a cafe, both are a little expensive which is to be expected at a train station.

It's within walking distance to lots of restaurants, and the Cork English Market -Ice machine on every floor. We Americans love our ice! -Rooms and bathroom were pretty spacious -Crib available upon request (although we did request this ahead of time, and it was not set up until we arrived) -Mini fridge available upon request but it's SUPER small. It looks like it's meant to fit a few cans of soda, and it's not very cold - but anything is better than nothing Cons: -No parking. There's not even really a place for you to stop to unload your luggage. If you want "discounted" parking, it's a few blocks away, and there are no in and out privileges -There are a few steps leading up to the lobby, which makes it difficult to drag your luggage up. They do have a handicap lift but it doesn't work very well Overall, it was a good stay. If you're not renting a car/driving, it would be an even better stay. It looks a bit more modern than most of the other centrally-located Cork hotels.

We dropped it off at 9 am and it was back later that day. The bed was so comfortable but the pillows are hard. The shower was nice and the bathroom was large with a lot of space for all the things ladies like to bring on vacation.. We ordered food to our room one evening and to our surprise it was really delicious. The only thing I absolutely hated was that there is NO PARKING at the hotel. There a spot to unload your bags but the parking garage is at least a 10 minute walk. I really did not enjoy that. For one thing, it started raining on our way over to the car one day and we were soaked. Yes, we had rain coats and umbrellas but the wind was so terrible that it blew the umbrellas backwards. When we finally had to leave we walked over to get the car and it took forever to get back to the hotel because there is construction in front of the hotel and traffic is diverted. There was a lot of 1 way streets. I would definitely stay there again just because of the room and staff friendliness but I did not appreciate the parking situation.

Some people say it is expensive enough - €7.00 for car return - but it is very convenient, saving you the long road journey from Cobh (Rushbrooke) to Passage (Glenbrook) or vice versa. At the Rushbrooke (Cobh) terminal this morning, I was impressed by the speedy turnaround and the ease of driving on and off. The "journey" takes just five minutes and the service (capacity 28 cars) operates throughout the year, 7.00am to 10.00pm each day. There may be the odd disruption to service, e.g. because of fog, but if you are a regular you can sign up to the text service to get SMS notice of interruptions.

We arrived here for the weekend and stayed the week. Free live music, pints for 3 euro in Ireland for God sake its unheard of. Boating, beaches, great restaurants, Kinsale has it all. This is like a local's secret as its not mobbed like some other venues. In general I found Kinsale very expensive however the Armada offered great value for money. Now its on my radar each time I go back. The bar staff are great, hopefully Yvonne will be working as she is full of craic, actually she was singing the last time I was in. Additionally, the supposed air conditioner blows out at a very low level and that's when it's at Max fan. So the room was hot all night Also their breakfast doesn't start till 7:30 even though they tell you you can come down and get cold breakfast at 7:00. It's all 7:30 and a lot of people's buses Leave at 7:30. There was a lot of people pissed off in the group before us cuz they're going to basically have to take a long bus trip with nothing in their stomach. Our bus leaves at 8:00 . that gives you virtually no time to get breakfast in you. Honestly in America this hotel would rate two stars so I'm giving it two stars. Probably better to just skip this whole town all together and go stay somewhere else.
