I know from previous stays that you CANNOT book this park in advance during high season or on bank holidays (the busy times), so elddis you clearly booked the wrong date or the wrong park as the staff will NOT take any bookings during this time (I know, I've chanced my arm a few times ;) ). And to dollyd, the only time you will have altercations with the owner or security guard is when you cause trouble yourself and disturb other campers. I can not speak more highly of this park, the owners and the staff.

The 2 couples from Belfast were on the road for eight hours at this stage and the we were told we did not book it because he didn't take bookings over the phone and he had no place for us. He tried to put one of us between two mobile homes and that is when we decided to go else were because he said its there or no were he was not polite about the situation at all. The thing i find about these sites that are full during high season they don't care about you because there is always someone else to take your place. I will not be going back anytime soon

It was clean, bright and inviting. Later we met Mary's Husband and joked with him about golfing. We asked about places to walk and they suggested taking the farm road behind the B&B which turned out to be a fun short walk as we walked past a few local farms as the sun set. Mary had cold and hot breakfast options (we opted for hot) and there was plenty to eat. Recommend this as it was clean, quiet at night, and our hosts were open and friendly.

After mentioning the website said 69, I was told that price was for a single person even though it's a double room. Seems kind off odd that would matter since the room is the same. And to be clear, 79 is fine, I just didn't like the bait-and-switch method of renting rooms when he saw that I was to tired to find a new hotel. We took the room and attempted to sleep but we were kept up all night due to the people in the next room talking, opening and closing doors, running water, taking a piss, flushing, and apparently moving furniture. Our room was located at a point where two hallways met, and somehow manged to pick up the sound of every single door on the floor as it was being shut. Not the hotels fault that people are loud but is there fault that they didn't build a hotel with proper insulation. Pillows suck as well. The only good thing about the place is the pool and workout facility. Which is why I am giving them two stars instead of one, even though on my next trip through town I can guarantee that I won't be staying here,

They don't have any working farm animals anymore other than some chickens. Those birds will run up to you looking for a handout and you will hear the roosters crowing softly as soon as the sun comes up. That's just what happens on a farm. Our host and hostess have many interesting stories so spend the time to talk to them. The house itself is very old and there are antiques in most rooms. However, your room will be quite modern with a modern bathroom. You can see a picture of our spacious room on Yelp. The bathroom was very large with a walk-in shower. There was a towel heater for your bath towel. The highlight of our stay, however, was the breakfast. The inn owners ran a restaurant downtown so they really know food. You can see what we started with at breakfast in the photo and that is before she began to cook. In the center is an Italian panna cotta with banana slices and pomegranate seeds that was very interesting and tasty. Gertie had numerous home-made conserves, compotes, and chutneys to accompany other dishes. I had kippers for the main course and they were prepared perfectly. This was a memorable breakfast.
