A.C. sandwiches has the BEST Banh Mi sandwiches. Packed with meat, fresh veggies, large portions, taste is amazing and flavorful. Every time I go to AC. I make sure to bring some back home for my parents. They have a good deal, which is buy 5 get one free. Worth every dollar spent. read more

I stumbled upon this Banh Mi shop and it was the best decision I made walking in here. It was a no frills shop that served damn good Banh Mi's. There was no skimping out on the meat, the bread was soft on the inside and just the right amount of crunch and chew on the outside. The viet coffee was strong as typical of a viet coffee but refreshing. The staff was incredibly nice and inviting. read more

Downgrading 1 star, we haven't been in the area for at least 3 years and prices have gone up to $9 or more for most sandwiches. It still tasted good but not amazing as before and the bread was a little stale. However, glad to see them still in business and still consider it a solid option read more

This place was bomb! Thanks to my fellow elites for this spot. I went searching for a bahn mi sandwich and this spot was one of the top rated. I see why! The sandwich was huge!!! Filled with fillings and made fresh to order. This is a no frills kinda spot. Very unassuming and unappealing from the outside. The inside is also very unappealing but the smell was so welcoming. The customer service was very good. I were greeted upon arrival and again when i left. I didn't eat the sandwich right away, but it was still so good!! Definitely something to try if you're looking for Vietnamese sandwiches. 4/5! See pics below read more

I think this might be the best place for a banh mi in all of Atlantic county! I've tried Pho 9, 7 Sisters, Hu Tieu Mien Tay, & A.C. Sandwiches take the top spot by far! This place is a hole in the wall type of establishment on Atlantic Ave in Atlantic City. There's only street parking & they only accept cash. Inside you'll see 2 tables with 8 total chairs, so it's more of a takeout joint. The cashier was friendly & the sandwiches took about 10 minutes to make since there were others who had ordered before me. I had the AC Special Combo for $8 plus tax, and it was everything I'd been wanting and craving! There was a very generous amount of meat including roasted pork, head cheese, & ham with pate. The jalapeño was spicy & the pickled daikon & carrots were the perfect additions to a filling sandwich. Is it the very best banh mi I've ever had? Not quite since this was made with a Formica bread that's usually served with cheesesteaks & not the traditional French style baguette but it was still very tasty! I will definitely be back! read more

My husband and I were in AC for a show and we didn't want to eat at the casinos and were actually craving Vietnamese food. Yelp search got us here. Parking is off street and the neighborhood is shady, then again, it is AC so this is the norm. Customer service is great. Sandwiches ordered were decent. We had the banh mi dac biet/the special. It had good amount of cold cuts. Their toasted bread is decent but I've had better bread/baguette. Given we were in AC with very limited Vietnamese food, if any exists, these banh mi will do. read more

This is my goto spot for bahn MI in AC. Great value since they always have fresh veggies and decent amount of meat in the sandwiches. The owner is friendly. However they are currently closed until 11/15/24 read more

Best banh mi ever had in my life. It is loaded with homemade pate and very superior butter.

I hate writing this review but I just don't get it... If you need a banh mi fix, this is probably the only player on the shore without getting off the island. Things to note: 1) They use amazing Formica bakery bread and you can even buy it here for $1 a roll. 2) $6.50 a sandwich 3) do not get the grilled pork bc it is microwaved and pure fat. 4) flavors are meh and veggies options are better 5) lots of Asian shakes 6) cash only 7) two tables inside to sit but you probably want it to go 8) near the Tropicana My biggest issue is probably in hygiene of this place. They wear gloves to make your sandwiches but then use it to handle cash and everything else. read more

AC Sandwich is specialize in sandwiches but I don't recommend opting for the strong aroma of the soy sauce on the sandwich. The service is professional and quick. The ambiance is quiet and price was reasonable. They offer special drinks, and note that prices have a significant increase in the past two years according to the updated menu photos. Overall, I would consider returning in the future. read more

Stopped by when in AC, given the rave reviews on the sandwiches. If you're not from an area with banh mi options I can see how this would be amazing. We have a plethora of Vietnamese banh mi spots where we live so while the sandwich was good it wasn't the best I've had. It's a unique offering in AC nonetheless and the owner was friendly but she was one person working the shop and I was a bit wary of cleanliness when she came out with a bowl of roasted pork for my sandwich. She definitely could use some help as I noticed a pile of dishes waiting to be cleaned. But she wore gloves while handling the sandwiches and took them off while handling money. There were 2 small tables when I stopped by for dine in but don't expect to be served. read more

So expensive now. Double the price of when I use to come. I get it but I don't. Use to be ~4. Now it's 8. It's a little dingey. Each time I get number 6 it's different . Sometimes it has no sauce, other time it does. Prefer it without. Less meat now. read more

My favorite go to place for Bahn mi's, so flavorful and authentic. The bun is light, fluffy with the perfect crunch on the outer layer. The meat is seasoned and they pack the meat which I love. I always get the special, buy 5 get 1 free cuz my family loves them. It's a hole in the wall place, if you blink, you'll drive by it, but trust me, you can't go wrong with any of their subs. It's a mom and daughter shop and they prepare the sandwiches in front of you, and they also have bubble teas and smoothies. I don't like going into the city but I make the 25 minute trip just to grab some sandwiches from them cuz they are just that good. Support your local business during this crisis. read more

Great sandwiches for a great price. We stop by every time we drive down to AC for the weekend.

This my favorite sandwich spot in the area. I think it's every bit as any I've had in NYC. My only problem is that I have too many favorites and have to get all of them. I started with the classic pork medley, but the chicken is really good too. You don't go for ambiance or for any other reason than to get a great, reasonably priced sandwich. read more

Still my go to place for sandwiches. Can't beat the 5 sandwich deal. Buy 4, get 1 free. They have the best sandwiches compared to MANY places even Vietnam. Bread might be better in Vietnam, but the consistent flavor, abundance of items in the sandwich, far beat the competitors. The mom seems to be the cook and makes all the food. She even makes special dishes in the morning and sells what she's made for the day so if you don't go early, you miss out. You can also request a day ahead and she will cook it for you. I agree about the ambience here, there is none. You're best off ordering take out and sit on the beach to eat. I won't stop coming here on the weekends to grab my sandwiches. I always order the combo special. read more

Best Banh mi around the AC area!! I especially love the Bbq pork and nem nuong banh mi. It's not dry like other places, because they have a unique and light sauce to compliment each of their banh mi. They also have a buy 5 get one free special which I always get on my way back from AC! read more

Go for the $5 Bon Mei sammies, really nice toasty bread, I asked for, and received extra veggies and cilantro and they didn't charge me extra..nice! Now for sure these aren't as good as you get at Pho Da Nang in Parlin, NJ, because they grill your meat fresh to order (oh I may need to run there tomorrow, now I'm craving one), sadly, this place reheats meat in the microwave...I will be honest, I waited until the next day to review because I was a little worried I might get sick from the meat..thankfully we didn't!! They don't appear to have a grill in the store, just a toaster oven and microwave. We ordered the grilled pork and S got a Vietnamese meatball sub too...can you say scary? The meatballs were reddish in color and spicy..mystery meat, but he liked it. The jalapeño gave the sammies a kick, but the creamy sauce gave them a bit of cooling..our mouths were still burning after, but boy were they tasty!!! Giv'em a try!! read more

Delicious little Vietnamese sandwich shop on Atlantic ave. My coworkers and I did take out for lunch. We bought 3 subs and 2 bubble tea all for less than $20. I ordered a #3 (Vietnamese lunch meat - white ham and pate) and it was awesome. The bread was warm, crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside with the pate and mayo to offset the dry ingredients. The pickled carrots and daikon had the right amount of vinegar for me to compliment the lunch meat and cut through the savory pate and mayo. The shop was really clean. The floors were spotless. The walls look like they were painted fresh yesterday. Nothing was dusty. I guess the grandmother behind the counter made sure the place looked as immaculate as can be. Surprisingly the service was very welcoming. I don't expect good friendly service when I go to Vietnamese restaurants in atlantic county. So this goes up on the list with Pho Life in Mays Landing for friendliest services out of the Vietnamese restaurants in the area. My other coworkers got Vietnamese meatballs sub and the grilled chicken sub. If u want Sirracha on the side, you'll have to ask for it. It doesn't come with the sandwiches. I support small mom and pop shops like this, especially if they make good food. If any yelper read this, please try this place out. It's good, filling, fast and doesn't hurt the wallet. read more

Love this place - generous portions for such a modest price. Hard not for me to search out a bahn mi joint wherever I go and was floored with the A.C. Special on my 1st visit. Been back each time I visit. I have to leave in the trunk or I end up a crumb monster in the car on the way back to PA. read more

We stop by for Banh Mi. We ordered 5 different banh Mi. Positive: Banh Mi were ok.. nothing special. But we bought 5, so,we had 1 free. The place is small but it is clean. Negative: Customer service was the worse. The husband was nice, but the wife was biatchy. She was yelling and screaming. The worst was she did not allow my 6 year old and 9 year old children to use the bathroom. In addition.. this place has no napkins.. "bring your own napkins" read more

First time trying this place. Got the #1 special sandwich and the roast pork. Sandwiches were delicious. Very fresh tasting and great price for a sandwich that size. Great crispy baguette. Could use some more tables for those who want to dine in but other than that everything else was great. Will definitely be coming back often to grab a quick bite. read more

Although the business is name "A.C. Sandwiches" they only have Vietnamese Subs. The area inside seems clean, a little bit unorganized but clean enough. They only accept CASH. I don't recommend any "hot" items. They are all microwaved. So not fresh nor made daily. Their cold cuts is the best way to go. They have fresh smoothies with boba as an add-on. Funny thing is their boba or "bubble" aka pearls are MICROWAVED TOO. read more

Great local shop! I will usually stop here once before I go to my night shifts. They have great sandwiches and they make it right in front of you. The bread is nice and soft and crunchy where it needs to be. The sauce she puts and meats are very yummy as well. It is a little spicy because she does put Jalepenos in there. I've also gotten their Vietnamese coffee which is delicious as well and gotten it for my my coworkers and it does help us stay up overnight. Definitely check out this local shop -- won't disappoint. Only thing is it's cash read more

The sandwiches are great and tasty. Nevermind the casinos this place makes a trip to AC all worth it. I had never heard of a Viet-Deli, but was surprised at how good and fresh for an AC Deli the food. it. The subs are the best and the pickle salad is to die for! I strongly recommend a pitstop here on your next trip to Atlantic City. It is worth it. read more

Don't go anywhere else for banh mi if you in Atlantic City region. You won't be disappointed.

Waitress at another Viet restaurant in town told me about this spot, said this was where she got her Banh Mi. Well, hot damn if this isn't one of the best Banh Mi I've ever had. Super cheap, (I left with two for $9,) and the pate was excellent and absolutely tasted homemade. CASH ONLY! Very nice selection of authentic options on the menu, though I only got the standard pork & pate. Bread was crusty, chewy and all around killer. Very pleasant, smiley lady behind the counter.
