So the following monday we called and were told it was in that we could stop by to pick up our order. We made special arrangements by borrowing a truck to get he snow blower home only to get there and no one knew what we were taking about. They told us it should be in at the end of the week that they would call us. Again no call. At this point we are wondering did they even order it for us? We had already paid for the item a month prior. Finally we called they told us it was in and that we could get it that night. We get up to the register and the check out girl seemed annoyed that she had to help. All around not a great impression of the store. We will not be back anytime soon!

The belt went out in the original dryer and I was too busy with a project to change it myself. I called a local repair place and overcharged ($260) for a 10 minute belt replacement. 2 days later the dryer stopped heating. We decided to stop the bleeding and replace the dryer. Bought the new one and within 5 days it sounded like a severed head was rolling around inside. Here's where the problem started, I called Lowe's and they said it was over 48 hours so I needed to call the manufacturer. The closest appointment was 2 1/2 weeks out. While we're waiting for our appointment the dryer stopped heating! 3 week old dryer and Lowe's won't take back this Lemon! Don't get me wrong, the folks that work there are awesome, it's the company policy's that changed and now SUCK!!

What's more is the store in general...reminds me of a general store, with a little of everything from flags to fly to hummingbird feeders to paint and everything in between. Prices are comparable to HD and overall it's just a nicer more personal experience here. The screens the owner worked on for us turned out really nicely with a snap fit. It's worth checking into before you have them custom made for a small fortune.

As people in Home Depot walked by I asked for help - they either said it wasn't their area or said they didn't know the combination. I got a person's attention that was working near the self checkout. She started to help me and a woman employee that was bs'ing with another employee stopped her and told her to page "hardware" - I waited another 10 minutes and finally went to that woman and asked her if she was going to help. Why I am writing this - on the way to the store my GPS said they were rated 2.7 (I didn't even know people wrote Yelp reviews on Home Depot). So I mentioned to the woman "I now see why you are rated low on Yelp." Her response - not me! I am not rated low I have been here 20 years. If Home Depot employs this woman for 20 years, it's obvious why they are a 2.7 on Yelp!.

Found the perfect drill motor too. Best of all, staff is Friendly, Knowledgeable and often walks us to the thing we need! Refunds are quick and easy too. There are sale items, lots of selection too.
