TIP: Check costs before you invite anyone out to work on your system(s). I found Primus's $85 trip charge to be somewhat reasonable. But the cost of Freon? Not so much. A quick check on eBay indicates these folks pay not more than $25 per pound of R22 for their Freon and then charge you the stated price of $100. When asked why, the smug response was .. "Well, that's capitalism." My response .. "Well, when you charge 4 times what something costs, that leaves the consumer feeling ripped off. So here's something else about capitalism you should know. People won't use you when they feel ripped off." My thoughts: There's just something not right about being told I should be happy about being ripped off simply because "That's capitalism". That would be why I concluded the call. I suppose the vendor subsequently decided our discussion wasn't over, so he immediately called back to lecture me, rather aggressively. I hung up. A few seconds later, he called again. I didn't answer. So in the end, the decision to not use Primus is more than justified by their absurdly expensive (in my opinion) Freon and their aggressive response to (pre)customer feedback.

I had 2 other so called professionals to look at the problem and they collected a service charge for coming out but did not stop the leak. The last one told me he was a plumber and I needed an HVAC Professional. Well skip past the blah blah, no call back or ridiculous price. The Lord led me to Mr. Dennis Tapps' company. Mr. Tapp was on time, trustworthy, affordable and FIXED my water leak by turning off the cutoff valve. He didn't try to cheat me by saying he did something he didn't do or even use a brunch of professional jargon to up the price. (Like the two other guys). Easy air also replaced 3 capacitors before. they were out 2 weeks before my heat pump stopped working due to no refrigerant.I admit they do respond well.

Cost was 15% below other bidders and with a superior Trane system. So happy with their service and system installed. Quiet and significantly reduced humidity in my home. Running problem free after 5 years. So glad I selected Perfect Climate and Trane system they recommended. Perfect Climate took the time to explain my options and recommend the best system/solution. During installation, they identified an existing issue with my homes electrical system. HVAC system was not on a dedicated breaker. Spent spent several hours trouble shooting system tripping out (not in Perfect Climates work scope) and resolved the problem, by rewiring with dedicated HVAC breaker in fuse box at no additional cost. Comfort sworet hey fixed the issues but did not show me photos that I asked for. Recently, now ten months later and I had a second audit from the electric company. The recent audit found additional tears that Comfort had not repaired. The new HVAC service company charged me $350 to make the insulation taping and insulation that Comfort had failed to do, and lied about completing the job. Now I've overpaid on attic energy leaks for ten months and incurred an additional $350 to bring it up to standard. Champion does not hire qualified staff. Polite staff are worse than useless.
