I'd adjusted it a number of times myself, but couldn't get it to STAY in alignment - time to call in the professionals! When the technicians came out, it turned out the door alignment was not the problem... the stationary piece of glass had come loose of its mounting and was creeping! Definitely not a simple fix, but the technicians came through with a solution and we haven't had a problem since! Great people, great pricing, great service - really couldn't ask for anything more, and we couldn't be happier with Santa Fe. Five star rating, with two thumbs up to boot!

Jason in the office was careful not to take my half-knowledgeable advice, instead recommending that his colleague, Jeff, come out & look at the storm door glass and screen problem I was having. Jeff came & did SUPERB work, fixing both glass storm windows AND the screen so everything fit snug! On top of that, he completely replaced my failing porch screen door turnbuckle assembly--had to go back to their office to bring back the new parts and expertly installed it! Very personable and competent! I will ALWAYS go back to them for any storm window or screen work that my ancient old house (built in 1869!) needs, & I think there will be lots. On top of it all, they refused to charge me a penny! Wow, just wow....I recommend you all CHECK THEM OUT!

Two were the same size and the third was less then half of that. I was told that it would take at least a week to make. Some of the prices given seemed rather extreme to me. The price that Santa Fe gave me was almost half of that cost. I asked how long it would take to get and was told possibly by the end of the business week. The order went in on Tuesday morning and they called me Thursday to say the glass was in. I picked it up and the panels fit perfectly and made the greenhouse look great. Will keep them in mind for future work and noticed that they make custom screens as well! Very satisfied with the whole overall experience and will recommend to others and keep their information for myself.

I had talked to another company about how to best cool down the attic and without inspecting our situation first, they suggested an installation that ended up not helping at all. When I called the Hayes Company, they came in and did a very thorough analysis of our setup and suggested several different options for helping us to not just cool down the attic, but make some great efficiency improvements also. When the workers came to do the work (Adam, Tom and Phil), they were very polite and courteous. They kept me informed all along the way so I knew what they were up to and they did excellent work. To top it all off, they cleaned up so well after themselves, you could hardly tell they were here... except for the attic feeling much better!

I was shocked we could totally tell the difference the day they was done. We have noticed our air is not running as much, but most importantly the house has felt more comfortable from the up stairs to basement! Within days of calling Star Windows for help, they were in our home…read more We have this large casement window that the wind caught. It had been hanging unattached at the top corner, before we finagled it back in, closed it and haven't opened it in four years . Wow! Art was amazing. He came in, opened it, assessed it for less than a minute, explained the problem, and commenced to disassemble/then reassemble. He repaired one piece, and had it operating in less than 10 minutes. It glides more smoothly than it ever has and works perfect now. He then adjusted the companion casement window as one of the connector rods kept falling out of it when opened. It opens fully now and the rod keeps in place. I could tell he knew windows like the back of his hand. Watching him, how quick, thorough and professional he was, was something to behold. I was thinking about replacing the windows before Art arrived. He indicated that was not necessary, and the windows we have are no longer made in that size (due to the wind damage potential like we experienced). Thus, a two-pane window would have been the replacement option. I was thoroughly impressed with Art and Star Window Solutions and would highly recommend.

There was no phone call, no text message, no email, and no attempt to let me know they wouldn't be arriving. I waited for the appointment, and after it became clear no one was coming, I attempted to resolve the situation. Because there was no communication and the work was never performed, I ultimately disputed the deposit with my credit card company. I understand that schedules change and unexpected problems happen. What I cannot understand is a complete lack of communication. A simple phone call would have gone a long way. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. UPDATE: I hired this company after they came to my home, evaluated the project, provided a quote, and accepted my deposit. We scheduled the installation for Saturday and it was to take approximately 4 hours to complete. The technician never arrived. What was most frustrating wasn't just the missed appointment--it was the complete lack of communication throughout the day. I contacted the company multiple times Saturday by both phone and text, asking for an ETA. I was initially told by phone the technician would arrive around 10:00 a.m., but 10:00 came and went with no technician and no update. By early afternoon, after waiting for hours, I requested my deposit back because it was clear no one was coming. Later that afternoon, I reposted the job on Thumbtack to find someone else. Ironically, this same company responded expressing interest in bidding the project again. I replied that they had already been hired once and failed to show up. That message also went unanswered. It wasn't until after I posted reviews that I finally received an apology. I was told the technician had been given the wrong phone number and had unsuccessfully tried to call and text me. I can't verify what happened on their end, but I can say that I never received any calls or text messages from them that day, despite repeatedly reaching out myself. More importantly, I had contacted the company at least three times during the day asking when the technician would arrive. If they truly believed the technician had been unable to reach me, that would have been the perfect opportunity to tell me. Instead, no one mentioned any difficulty contacting me until after I had posted my reviews later that evening. I understand that honest mistakes happen. A wrong phone number is a mistake. What turned this into a one-star experience was the lack of proactive communication. If the company had contacted me promptly, explained the situation, and rescheduled, this review would likely be very different. Instead, I spent an entire day waiting, repeatedly asking for updates, and only received an explanation after leaving public reviews. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
