1 star -- I will not be using Safelite again…read more I scheduled a mobile windshield repair because I need it fixed to pass inspection and renew my tags. My first appointment was canceled the day before because they didn't have the part. Annoying, but I rescheduled. For the second appointment, I was given a service window between 12-5 and planned my entire day around it. At 1:30, I got a call saying they weren't coming at all and that I would need to drive my car to their location near Worlds of Fun instead. That's not acceptable. The whole reason I booked mobile service was to avoid driving my car before it's ready for inspection. I'm not risking getting pulled over for expired tags because they can't keep an appointment. This experience showed zero reliability and a complete lack of respect for my time. Canceling twice--especially the second time in the middle of the service window--is unacceptable. I am taking my business to Auto Glass & Tint Shop instead!

If Safelite is the villain in my windshield origin story, Compass Glass is the damn Avengers…read more After my windshield was ceremoniously ripped out and abandoned by another national chain (you know who you are), Compass Glass showed up like professionals who actually finish what they start. Revolutionary concept. They came out, assessed the situation without pearl-clutching or corporate panic, and--brace yourself--installed the windshield. All of it. In one visit. Like adults. No dramatic gasps. No "district manager" name-dropping. No lectures about microscopic rust that's existed since the Clinton administration. Just competence. Skill. Confidence. And the wild notion that when you remove someone's windshield, you might want to... I don't know... put one back in. My '98 Cherokee is now sealed, solid, and weather-ready thanks to Compass Glass. The install was clean, the communication was clear, and the tech clearly knew the difference between "doing a job" and "creating a problem and running away from it." If you want your windshield replaced without turning it into a character-building exercise, call Compass Glass. They don't just talk glass--they install it. 10/10. Would trust again. Would recommend to anyone who prefers results over excuses.
