Alde Hydronic System upgrade. I first met Vinnie in 2019 shortly after purchasing my 2018…read moreAirstream Classic. At the time, he worked out of his ranch home property in Wilton CA and appeared to do all the work himself with a helper. I had him install a massive solar system including BattleBorn/Victron components. Vinnie did top notch work and knows Airstreams better than anyone I've met. Since then, he continued to do outstanding work including a massive front end rebuild due to the de coupling of the front, a common issue. Fast forward to 2025 when he sold his business to I don't know who and the operation moved to its current location and exploded in size due do Vinnies old reputation. But it's not really Vinnies anymore and he doesn't appear to be personally working on the trailer but rather has a bunch of workers. I hired Vinnies in February of 2025 to upgrade the Alde 3010 to Alde 3020. I picked up the trailer and drove it home and water was not coming out of the shower and the aide heater leaked after Vinnies said it was throughly tested. After a supposed fix, it still was not heating properly and the unit was leaking like crazy from under the unit, again they said it was thoroughly tested. Brought the trailer back to fix and picked it up. Still didn't heat properly and they said they replaced the mixing valve which should have been replaced because they said all the Alde components were going to be replaced during the upgrade. Picked the trailer up and it heats but now it leaks again. What a joke. What a disappointment. Also, the office staff seems completely un trained and have no organizational skills. They will tell me one thing and forget and not follow through with communication. The tech that called us didn't even know that I had a massive solar array on the trailer, and the trailer was there. So no, in my opinion, the new Vinnies is not the old Vinnies anymore because he's not personally doing the work. Instead, it seems like a bunch of incompetent techs. Better off going to an authorized Airstream dealer even if it cost a bit more.

They made up a million things and a 15,000$ quote and told me 2 week wait. After 4 days they didn't call me and all they did was a quote that was beyond laughable..

I called them back again and told them the problem was not fixed and to return. They came out on the 30th to try again. The tech looked for codes which there were none thrown. Then he said it was the chasis batteries and replaced them. Still would not work. Then he said the house betteries were bad and should replace those. Well the house batteries have nothing to do with the engine or chasis power. So they replaced those. After all said and done and with a bill of almost $3,000.00 the problem was not fixed. I told them to get the batteries since it was not the issue. Also they marked them up 40% from cost. The tech wanted to come Friday and i went to Chico and would be back. He text me Monday and said he was on his way and would be there by 9 AM. I responded that i could not make that time but when i return, i will take out batteries and give to them and they could adjust my bill. When i returned to my RV, i had realized they came there without my presence, broke into my battery storage bay and took the batteries and put old ones back. They did not hook up a possitive cable and the battery hold down brackets. They dented the door, broke the entry latch etc. I called the owner and explained to him that what he did was not right. His response was do what i need to do. So a police report filed and BAR will be contacted as well. I then called Cummins West. They came out, ran the codes and determined was a loose ground wire. Fixed problem with 10 minutes and $300.00. Whoever uses this shop beware as they have no clue on how to work on diesel motorhomes.
