I had to return to Michigan for a funeral and was looking for two SUVs to transport my family throughout the day. DTW Detroit Airport Car was the first to respond, the least expensive - several hundreds less, and the most communicative through Yelp, text, email or phone. The drivers were great, professional and helped our family in a time of need. Next time I need vehicle transportation while in Michigan, I would contact them first!

I just found this listing today and called him for more information…read more I read his "About the Business" page, and he states that he's a Novi taxi company. I called him because I live in Novi, my car is down, and I need a ride to Henry Ford hospital Thursday morning. I called him to find out if he could do it, and he told me that he doesn't make local runs. If he doesn't do local runs, then he should not say that he's a Novi/Bloomfield cab or taxi service. That would be false advertising. I regard that as unprofessional. If he no longer does local runs, then he should state that he does not do local runs.

Unbelievable RIPOFF…read more i am at the ER at 5 am. No ride. Am told they are the only company that will come. The dispatcher does not give me a price, I have to ask how long a wait it will be. He hangs up. The cab comes, says "did the dispatcher give you the price?" I said no. He tells me $33. Dollars. It is 3 miles away. He calls dispatcher who says "she hung up before I could give her the price." Which is a total lie. Then the driver says they don't take credit cards or have change. He tries to deposit me back into the hospital (I am already in the car and buckled up. Broken and bloody toe. I've been there 8 hours. I ask him to talk w security, who can't help. I say I have change at home. After several minutes he agrees reluctantly to take me. I ask his name, he hesitates, then he gives his name as "Mr. Jones". A large black male, in his 30's? Polite. He claims he is paid by the hour and has no control over prices. There is no meter, or if there is he does not use one. The paramedics who took me to the ER said "no problem, hospital will help you get a ride." Ha.

The sedan and van that I rode in (both to and from my hotel) were comfortable, and both Fred and Mark were excellent drivers. So pleasant, showing the true midwesterner charm and chivalry. (My dad was scared for me to be traveling alone, picked up by a man at the airport, and the airport in Detroit no less...I reassured him that I had found the car service through the actual hotel I was staying at, and that there would be nothing to worry about as I had traveled alone before and this would be no different - but of course I had to call him from the car and let him know I was fine and that this man was safe and everything.) Mark offered to talk to my dad, haha, but everything went fine. I would strongly recommend using this company and their drivers. Albeit, these are NOT luxury limos or anything super fancy - vans and sedans for hire, without the dingy-ness of a taxi and its bright colors, and with drivers who are wonderfully friendly and pleasant to ride to your destination with. If I ever go to Detroit again (for who knows what reason, only time will tell...), I will definitely look these guys up and pay them for their service.
