This independently owned shop came to my aid quickly, right after I dropped off my kids at school. The owner repaired both cracks in 45 minutes after I had informed Geico of the situation. My insurance covered the repair as a no fault claim, and the owner couldn't have been more friendly and professional. I talked about the relationship with my kids after a divorce he had experienced in life too. It was nice to get some advice on child-rearing in addition to the speedy repair. Shops like this that specialize in a certain type of vehicle repair are coveted businesses for any customer. You want to avoid large companies like Safelite AutoGlass for vehicle based glass repairs, and stick with independently owned businesses like this instead. Larger chain businesses will try and upsell you on products you don't need such as windshield wipers. Their work quality doesn't compare to that of an independently owned business either. I found an amazing alternative in Burlingame. The company is called New Auto Glass on Rollin Rd. This family owned business took me in an hour, got it done so quickly and correctly, and the prices were so much lower than Safelite. They are very honest and fair. If you need a repair or replacement, don't go with these fools. They will overcharge and probably not show up. They kept trying to have me pay prior to installation, but I insisted to wait until completion. There terrible reviews say a lot. It's all if their locations in this area that do a terrible job.

I requested quotes from multiple places, and Maiwand responded quickly with reasonable price. I was able to get an appointment the next day. I preferred to get it repaired (I emphasized this multiple times), so Maiwand came to repair the windshield. However, unfortunately, the crack was wider and spreading pretty fast so the windshield needed replacement. Maiwand explained this to me professionally showing me why the windshield cannot be repaired. He answered all the questions I had very professionally during the process. He scheduled another appointment the next day for replacement and got the job done. He said he can organize the dash cam cable during the replacement, and that was taken care of too. Additionally, he said he will get the dash cam attachment installed to the new windshield, but unfortunately the tape on the attachment was not reusable. He even said he will come back the next day with a tape just to re-install the attachment! Luckily I had another tape so he did not have to, but I am pleasantly surprised that he will go above and beyond and come back just to get the attachment re-installed correctly. For the quick communication, good pricing and quality service, I highly recommend QuiQ Auto Glass.
