During my monthly drive from Reno to the Bay Area, I sustained the beginnings of two cracks on my windshield from small rocks let loose from a semi-truck on the highway. I have one of the most expensive vehicle windshields made on my 2017 Toyota Highlander, and prefer to avoid replacing the entire windshield. When dealing with this type of windshield damage, it's important you find a specialist like this who can prevent any initial crack from spreading. This independently owned shop came to my aid quickly, right after I dropped off my kids at school. The owner repaired both cracks in 45 minutes after I had informed Geico of the situation. My insurance covered the repair as a no fault claim, and the owner couldn't have been more friendly and professional. I talked about the relationship with my kids after a divorce he had experienced in life too. It was nice to get some advice on child-rearing in addition to the speedy repair. Shops like this that specialize in a certain type of vehicle repair are coveted businesses for any customer. You want to avoid large companies like Safelite AutoGlass for vehicle based glass repairs, and stick with independently owned businesses like this instead. Larger chain businesses will try and upsell you on products you don't need such as windshield wipers. Their work quality doesn't compare to that of an independently owned business either. Next time I need any repairs like this in the San Mateo area, I'll know who to go to. Wonderful experience all the way around! read more

Hi Tech Auto Glass 2 - Windshield Glass Repair - Auto Glass Services Near Me - San Mateo, California

Initiated with a quote thru their website and got a reply within a few hours. It was unfortunate that the OEM windshield was backordered but at least the OEE glass were from the same manufacturer but just missing the Toyota logo which saved almost half of the cost. They were able to get the windshield installed and the sensors recalibrated in about 2 hours or so. There's a waiting room available as well as a loaner car if you don't feel like waiting. Would definitely come back for future glass replacements read more

Apparently since the last time I brought my cars there to replace windows the business has changed owners. There is still the same great quality of work. The previous owner when changing out the driver side window somehow u latch one of the cables. I was actually unaware that the business had changed owners at the time and requested them to fix the door issue which was unrelated to the windshield replacement needed. They were happy to do it, even though it was not their fault. So happy to have such an amazing place to replace glass in an efficient timely manner with excellent workmanship. I have brought my car there numerous times, including twice for a windshield since they business has changed hands. Still very easy to deal with and always avail to help. read more

Great people there. Very professional. Was open on a Sunday. Prices are good! Go see them!

My go-to for broken windshields is Atlas Auto Glass. My wife broke her windshield years ago and continues to get chips, cracks, and fissures about once a year. When we needed to replace the neglected windshield, my wife's insurance would not cover the replacement. John at Atlas Auto Glass gave us an incredible rate with a guaranteed small chip/crack repair for the life of the windshield. This is the key my friends. My wife has continued to get chips each year, and true to his word, John keeps fixing the small chips/cracks. I just came back from another fix and had to write a review. John is true to his word, and he alone is worth trying Atlas Auto Glass. read more

John at Atlas Autoglass did a great job and went above & beyond. My car window got broken into (& my computer stolen) so it needed to be replaced asap. John did that immediately, but when I picked it up he freely admitted that the insurance company's "after market" window wasn't a perfect fit so I'd have to return next week for a proper quality one - at no extra charge of course. He also spotted crack & big dangerous chip on my windscreen, so we had that replaced at the same time. They did a great job. John, the manager, showed great accountability to make the situation even better than before - (except I was still without my computer, but the adventures of filings report with SFPD is not their fault). read more

My power window regulator completely broke down and the window would no longer stay up. I decided to go with Atlas for the repair and was pleased with their service. The part had to be ordered by the shop and it came within 2 days. It took less than 1.5 hours for the repair and the price was reasonable! read more

I was on my way to SFO when all of the sudden my sun roof shattered into pieces. I contacted Atlas Auto Glass and worked with them throughout the whole process to get my sun roof replaced. At the same time I had cracks running along the lower portion of my front windshield. They were able to replace it at the same time saving me a tremendous amount of time. The best part was the communication from the Owner. He made sure he answered all my questions and he made sure he had all the info to get the correct pieces of glass for both broken windows. When I got back from my trip I drove to his shop and the glass was replaced very quickly. Making it possible for me to get back on the road and get home at a decent time. I would definitely recommend Atlas Auto Glass to travelers and local residents for any auto glass repairs needed. read more

Great service very fairly priced with focus on customer service I highly recommend them

We use to go to Safelite but when they were scheduling 2 weeks out I decided to call some local places. Atlas was a much better value and they had an appointment only 4 days out. They replaced the front windshield of our Hyundai in a few hours and it looks great. I will definitely call them the next time we need a new window. read more

Super friendly, super-FAST service. I would definitely recommend Atlas Autoglass to everyone I know. I was driving on the freeway on my way to work and suddenly I hear this loud thump on my windshield and next thing you know there are two small cracks/chips. I was so upset that this happened and was worried it would be super pricey to fix. The first thing I did was call the dealership since I usually take my car there for any service. They told me they do not do glass and mentioned that if the crack is on the driver's side I most likely need a brand new windshield - the crack was on the driver's side. I checked on Yelp to find somewhere else to go and found Atlas. I called my insurance to file a claim since I thought I was going to need a brand new windshield and they set everything up for me. Although they warned me Atlas was out of network I still decided to go with them since they have glowing reviews on Yelp. I do not regret my decision one bit; they fixed my car in 15-20 minutes (same day service!!!). Best of all it was only $60 for the fix. If I knew it would be such a cheap quick fix I never would have filed a claim, but better safe than sorry. read more

I had a fantastic experience with John and Atlas Auto Glass. My car was broken into and the burglars shattered my rear window. I called the next morning early and John picked up and told me I could have fixed the same day. I dropped my car off in the morning and he had fixed in a couple hours. Literally the fastest I've ever had my car taken in and fixed in the same day. John even vacuumed the inside of my car to get rid of the shattered glass. Would highly recommend this service. Price was also incredibly reasonable and better than other quotes I received. Thanks again John! read more

I've been unlucky enough to have my beat down Kia Rio car window smashed a couple times in the past year. I drive all the way from Oakland to come here because of the quality of service, ease of scheduling and fair pricing. Atlas Autoglass provides superb, caring, timely service! I made an emergency call on a Saturday. My back window in my Mazda CX7 was shattered in Oakland at 1pm on a Saturday. I felt very scared and shaken, my Safeco insurance eventually referred me to Atlas Autoglass. Paul, a wonderful professional, called me at 5:15pm to ask if I was going to store my vehicle in the shop over the weekend so no further break ins would occur. My insurance had dropped the ball to communicate this offer to me. Paul waited on a Saturday night for me to hightail it over there so my vehicle could be safely in the shop. Parts are coming in first thing Monday morning and they anticipate having me on the road by noon. Paul was such a calming professional in the face of unexpected emergency. I cannot recommend this business highly enough. read more
