They were not the cheapest quote that we received, but they "ticked all the boxes" for us. They are a long-established local company who manufacture the windows right here in Calgary. They also have "in-house" installers and this is very important to us. It adds so much accountability, in our opinion. And, of course, we had a great previous experience with this company. The quality of the product is excellent and the workmanship is evident in both production and installation. Starting with the person who came out to discuss and quote the windows, the person who came and measured the windows, and the excellent installers - we are just so happy with our decision. This was not a "hail claim" but we do have hail damage from last year. While getting the roofing and siding quotes, whenever I mentioned that we were also going to replace some windows, we were really impressed with how many of those other companies mentioned Western Windows. They gave high praise, and what amazed me the most, is that some of those companies also install windows. Wow. That says a lot! I really wanted to share our experience, especially for anyone struggling with a decision. There are so many companies to choose from and sometimes it can be hard to decide who to select.

We had 4 bedroom windows and 1 patio door completed by Ecoline…read more We originally went with this company as they told us that there were no glass delays for them and that everything was made locally. This was in 2021 when this was an issue. This ended up being untrue and everything was delayed. Install was finally completed in Jan 2022. Our patio door was the first issue that I noticed. We could barely open it. It took me over a year and countless visits by their techs to finally say that the door was defective. I stayed home for dozens of these technician appointments, missing work and activities/family time, and no one would take notes or submit paper work and it was ALWAYS me following up with the company for anything to be done. Their trim work is also done so poorly, it splits within weeks to months after install. They told me if I wanted it done nicely that I would have to pay extra. They also use a copious amount of caulk to fill in any gaps on the exterior. There was also damage to our walls and new flooring during the install. We had other windows done by another company as we were fed up with Ecoline. We had zero issues with any of these new windows from the other company. I am now dealing with our replacement patio door. It is bowed and now leaking cold air into the house. I have reached out to them Jan 20th and Jan 24th both with no response. I know this of course is going to be a painful process to get anything rectified and know that they will try and do nothing. They offered me the first time only 5% off any new windows for the headache. My question is, why would I ever want another subpar window poorly installed by them again. Lastly, they demand payment upfront and before any work starts. They will just stand there until they are paid. The employees told us, this is because the company will make the workers pay the company if a client does not pay. Highly unethical. A client should be able to pay once the work is done and you are satisfied, not before. There is no hold back in case poor work is done. I have lost countless work days, time with my family and energy with this company for them to rectify their issues. They are unwilling to make anything right. Stay away from this company. There are so many other great companies out there that deserve your hard earned money. Ecoline is not one of them.
