The staff experience was very evident with all their questions about the space and use to ensure that our needs would be met. They gave us an estimate in the store, came to our home, measured windows, provided final pricing and brought product samples. This guaranteed the materials and colors selected matched well with our décor. Sounds silly but white is a difficult choice, there are so many variants. Everything arrived within a couple weeks. Install was completed by very competent staff who knew exactly how to adjust for those not so square and not so level windows. We couldn't be happier with our choice, gone are the 20 year old metal blinds and verticals on the patio door. We selected Shadow Magic Silhouettes and Patio Door Vignette. If you can't make into the store check them out on-line. The difference is night and day - the space is bright and beautiful, love it!

I want all your customers to be aware that I had the best customer service experience an individual can have at the Blind Doctor. My problem was not trivial. I had taken down a skylight Hunter Douglas Blind that was not working. It is not an easy undertaking (ladders, height, weight in the air, tensioners, alignment issues) and brought it into Calgary from Canmore. Blind repair is not simple and the parts and construction can be very complicated. The age of the blind is also a consideration as parts can be hard to locate and often are unavailable. This has been my experience. After explaining to Lee, the owner, what my predicament was the expensive blind was analyzed with curiousity, a brilliant attitude and actual detailed knowledge of the product. I was so impressed. Rather than put me off, or suggest a new expensive blind, Lee endeavoured to listen to my problem and offer solutions. So much so, that for about one hour he immediately took a complicated blind apart and expertly rebuilt a single problematic component, the tensioner on one side, and left it In working condition. I could never have done this. Too many special tools and special knowledge. He was concerned about the reliability of the older blind (2012) and insisted that I try it out first so he could uphold his customer service one year guarantee. Customers of the Blind Doctor should know the fantastic treatment I was accorded. We all repair household items of all sorts - Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliances etc. I have seldom had anyone help me in such a way and certainly not in recent memory when so many items are simply wastefully discarded or cannot be repaired. I want to commend Lee and his staff and his business. Well done.

I said it's just the strings that need changing as it worked fine prior. Get told it's $195 for 4 strings and two chord locks because they are causing the string to break. Lies. They were fine and I was skeptical that both were doing that at the same time. Go in to pick them up and I can see that one of them had not been changed. Owner gets angry quickly. He took $50 off, but because he lied about changing the part, I don't think the other one needed changing either. I don't trust them, nor will I return.
