She also wiped down the meat and cheese slicer machine (though that doesn't get rid of gluten, if there is any) and wiped down the counter. She brought out a separate tray and knife to protect the gluten free bread from the counter. The gluten free bread itself was in a little plastic bag (like from a company, and hadn't been opened yet). I really appreciated their procedures to prevent cross contamination, as I feel most restaurants aren't really drilled on it. Some (some, not all) of their sodas are gluten free, since they contain agave instead of gluten and other artificial flavors. There are also gluten free chips available. The gluten free bread didn't actually taste like sponges and tasted pretty okay instead. I got the super sub and it was very good! The service: As mentioned, the employees were incredibly considerate and thoughtful when it came to my gluten allergy. I appreciated it so much, so kudos to the team at Jersey Mikes! The environment: The restaurant is a moderate size, has about 5 or 6 tables, and has 2 bathrooms. It was clean, orderly, and well lit.
