My family and I always like a good burger. When I saw a Youtube video of Lil' Empire Burger we just…read morehad to try it. The place is easy to find an near 16th avenue but parking is a challenge as there is limited 2 hour street parking. It's in a residential area so there are lots of permit parking. It's a nice little corner restaurant with lots of seating on patio and also inside. One thing that struck us is the place is super clean and we liked that the restaurant had sustainability practices in place. For example, there is no garbage - only recycling and compost. All their cups and burger boxes are all compostable. They also provided a water dispenser to fill up your water bottles or compostable cup (provided). I even saw outside they had little bowls so even your furry friends can have water. This restaurant, you order at the counter, they give you a buzzer and when food is ready you pick it up. We had 3 Double Empire burgers with cheese, 1 Empire burger with cheese, and order of fries to share, and a chocolate milk share. Also, took advantage of complimentary water and I dispensed waters for the table. Everything was really fresh and tasted great. Burgers had great flavour and didn't fall apart. The fries were nice and crispy with warm soft center. The milkshake was great and not super sweet albeit a bit small. Staff were friendly - they all said bye to us, when we left, like they appreciated us being there. Great food, inviting space, and sustainability practices all make this a 5* review.

Basically a day where we go get something greesy and unhealthy. We picked A&W. I got the mama burger combo (with root beer and fries). The burger was ok. Nothing too wow. It was somewhat small though. I kind of regret getting the fries. Also the root beer was a bit flat. That is probably due to the paper straw. On top, they didn't fill my cup full of root beer. It was 3/4 full. That was sad. Like I said this A&W is located inside the food court. So there are plenty of seating and it is first come first serve. We were very lucky to find a table that would fit 6 of us.

I went here today for a quick bite, I have been here before in the past…read more The restaurant is in good, clean order, the staff were very helpful, and pleasant. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich, and was asked if Mayo, Lettuce and tomato was OK? I asked for no tomato and that was what I received. Chicken was crisp and still juicy , the by. was soft and fresh, iceberg lettuce was a bit more on the whiter side than green but still crunchy. There was a right amount if Mayo for the sandwich. My only complaint, and I am finding that this is getting to be an everywhere problem. This was not a $12.56 chicken burger, if you're going to serve ANY type of topping on a sandwich at least have enough to cover the bun it is sitting on! If this is the typical serving size, this is an $8 burger, tops. The burgers are (starting) $1 more than the chicken offering, with fries you are going to be slightly south of $20 for a meal. It is good food, but the cost knocks a couple of stars off my review.

Seriously, Fatburger is waaaay better! I want to support small, local restaurants and have been going here for many years, but now they are screwing over their long-term customers, we're done with this place. A burger needs to taste like a burger, not a loaf of bread. Two stars for friendly staff, good milkshakes and a decent ambiance.

Yes, we had our food delivered to the table like they normally do, but we also had someone come around and make sure that we had everything we needed, just like you'd expect from a formal restaurant. In addition, I was really surprised by the fact that they have a liquor license! Maybe I'm just a bit naive, but I really didn't think that an establishment such as Fatburger would have the drive to get a liquor license here in Canada, but I will say, it almost convinced me to get a drink for that reason! Buuuut I was more convinced to get a milkshake instead and for that, I have zero regrets. I went with the Mushroom Swiss specialty burger with fries, and boy oh boy, was that a satisfying meal. First thing to eat while back in Calgary for the holidays and I ALSO have zero regrets about that. I went for a two-flavour milkshake and combined the Oreo with the Mocha Java... OH MY WORD, it was one of the best milkshakes I've had in a long time. My sister got the Fatburger Jr and we were both quite full afterwards. All in all, good meal, good service, good time.
