There was a lack of communication and respect for my wishes. Initially communication about replacing my roof seemed like it was going well. The guys on the roof would take photos and send them to the office, and then the office was telling me what was going on while I was working. So, I was informed in advance that the cooler jacks needed to be replaced for an extra $1,000. Then I was told that some trusses were broken and some plywood was rotted. I was sent a photo. But the photo did not show there were 13 broken trusses. The photo also makes it look like there's maybe six pieces of plywood that need replacement. The rest looks fine. Then I was told they replaced 24 sheets of plywood. Does the photo below look like 24 sheets need to be replaced? So, my cost went up another $4,000 and I wasn't given an adequate heads up, only the final bill. They also ignored my request to give some recommendation about the insulation. So, I was in shock at the ending cost of the job. There was a lot of rushing and a lack of respect for making sure they did what I wanted, and, they didn't listen. They also ignored my request to have a fixture installed so in future I could put in a wood stove. I feel in the end they did a good job and the crew worked hard. But the ending bill was a SHOCK and I didn't get satisfaction around a couple of things that I wanted. read more
