A year ago our kitchen, dining room, and hallway were under construction with JCJ Chavez Construction. We are just as pleased now as we were then with the quality of workmanship done on the remodel. It even held up superbly during 2019's summer of earthquakes! The workmen are respectful of the house and, while they came and went freely, they never wanted to be in the way or to inconvenience us any more than they had to. They are family men who are kind and courteous, work hard, and do it all day every day. The work site was clean both physically and in language/demeanor of the workmen. When we looked for licensed contractors for the job, we narrowed it down to 3 who were within about $1500 of each other for the same job. Working with Marilupe was a dream! A female contractor had the very best measuring tools, communicated clearly and as frequently as needed, and was very thorough. When we requested to get cabinets through a local company rather than regular suppliers, she happily began that partnership and the whole job was coordinated and finished earlier than anticipated and with great quality products. This was an extensive renovation to make the home handicapped accessible. Additional square footage was added to the home to add a master bathroom and enlarge the master bedroom, spare bathroom and kitchen. All upgrades to meet current bldg. regulations were done to include new windows, electrical, plumbing, and insulation throughout the house. New A/C & heating unit was installed. Solar was installed. The craftsmenship on the install of the flooring, cabinets and trim are outstanding. The stucco was patched around the windows & doors and the exterior was painted. The whole interior was painted as well. Essentially, we have a new home. Marilupe & Jose were so good communcating issues that came up and coordinated the work so it was done in a timely manner. Their scheduling of the subcontractors and inspectors kept the job progressing. I'm so proud of the job that JCJ Chavez Construction has done to my home that I wanted to share with others so we can continue to support our local businesses that make our community thrive. read more

Juan came out to give me an estimate about 5 months ago but never got back to me. I called several times and the lady at the front desk told me that she would get the estimate out the following day.If they were not interested or too busy to do the work they could have just let me know and I would have got someone else to do it. I was completely patient and they took advantage and left me hanging. I would not waste your time with these people. read more

Recently we re-modeled our house and chose JCJ Chavez as the contractor for the work. We have had previous work done by them that was outstanding so just didn't give a second thought about who to have do the job. The job entailed re-modeling two rooms in the house which were done beautifully. Additionally, the garage was totally overhauled with new walls and insulation, an epoxy floor, an Air Conditioner, and an attic for upstairs storage. Also, they installed a whole house AC/Heater, replacing the swamp cooler on the roof. The roof was replaced with new energy efficient shingles. About 90 percent of the fascia boards were replaced. After the roof and fascia were completed, it got a fresh coat of paint. Their final job was to place tile on the patio deck. This job turned out beautifully due to great care being taken when laying each tile. Overall, the work was done in an outstanding manner, adding beauty and new functionality to our home. The owners sponsored the local High School Baseball program and were one of the first businesses to do so this year. Their willingness to support local community sports programs in very indicative of the character of the business owners. Small things like their sponsorship in our small community mean a lot to our student athletes and our sports programs. It was such a pleasure to work with JCJ Chavez Construction during my bathroom remodel. Marilupe was quick to respond to initial inquiries and was able to get us an estimate quickly. She explained EVERYTHING on the estimate and gave us multiple options for tile, shower heads, etc. They got the job done faster than they had estimated and the quality of work was great. Cleanup occurred at the end of each day and no trace of the project was evident when the job was finished. The completed bathroom is beautiful and flawless.
