Apparently, both employees were outside having a cigarette break. When they returned from their break, they were very nonchalant, as if it was part of their job. They didn't even apologize for making them wait. They also were not wearing anything that indicated they were Walgreens employees. I realize it's difficult to find good help nowadays, but this is ridiculous. C'mon Walgreens, do better! I may need to start getting familiar with CVS.

I usually bring in pictures of how I want my hair and color and she makes it happen. Plus she styles it so that I can easily do this at home. She recommends products that will help my issues and I tried the deep conditioner recommendation and it left my hair with shine and no frizz. I explained my limited schedule and asked if I could come in on Saturday for a touch-up. The owner offered to squeeze me in but stated there would be no time for a blowout. I explained that drying my hair was necessary to confirm the color was corrected, but the response I received made me uncomfortable. I ultimately declined the appointment and said I would wait until my next scheduled visit. The owner then replied that I should find another salon that could better meet my needs. It's disappointing, as I truly liked my stylist and had enjoyed my experiences there up until this point. I suppose the moral of the story is that how a business handles customer concerns says as much about its professionalism as the quality of its work.

This was July 2023z Recently I scheduled an appointment to come in last Wednesday, because I assumed the experience would probably be the same. It was the furthest thing from that. I saw Liz to get my nails fixed from the last salon that did them. For context, I had them done Saturday. The gel had started coming off two nails a day after I had them done before I had even gone back to work, I painted the spots over myself to make it look less obvious. Liz kept saying how it's obviously my job that ruined them and I need to be more careful, yet in the same breath kept saying how they were "not that bad". Convinced me to get gel by saying that if I can't "take care" of gel polish, regular polish will come off faster. I know this was probably a tactic to get me to spend the extra $10, and it worked. I had asked if she could add glitter to the black, and she treated me like I was stupid. Saying that it's a "tiktok thing" that only works under certain lighting (I had actually saw this on display at the last salon I had been to, don't follow nail tiktoks) then she yelled at the lady across the room to ask her to "explain to me why it can't be done"... like I didn't hear her just tell me why a second ago. While doing my nails she acted like she didn't want me there, talked to me like a child and gossiped to the other manicurists around her. Ended up lightly hitting my nail against the table, then told me that I messed it up when I was sitting perfectly still.. this was all bad enough but the whole reason I decided to write all this was the last thing she said before I left. In the midst of finishing up my nails, she was complaining to the client in the seat next to me about how "no one wants to get designs anymore, everyone just wants neutrals, white, or black... it's boring." While I was sitting in her chair getting black nails. I was actually considering adding gems to them. Until I heard that. God only knows what she was saying in her native language because she was saying all of this in English right in front of my face. I felt like most of this was probably because I didn't buy a set there, just wanted a polish change. Whatever the reason, that's no way to treat a paying customer. I always tip very good but with her attitude problem, I decided to tip nothing. Silver lining is that my nails did turn out looking good but I felt unwelcome even coming here.
