I had A&M Fence come and replace the wood on a fence I had installed only 3 years ago. Rule #1 *never* have a landscaping company install a fence. The old fence was weather beaten, falling apart and the metal rusting; it looked 10 years old! A&M Fence replaced the boards with new cedar, replaced and secured the bolts, removed the rust and installed decorative spikes. The completed job vastly exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the fence. I had to wait a few weeks for the install since they are busy, but they are worth the wait. I'm going to have them do other fence work and I've recommended them to my neighbor. They are professional and take pride in their work. read more

Had a wonderful fence built by A&M. Top quality consultation and design. The actual team that came out to do the work were fantastic. It was amazing to see how quickly they got the new fence up. Had a small paint color issue at one point but they came back out and too care of everything. Very happy to have had this done by A&M. Would for sure recommend them to others. read more

I'll start off by saying I had a pleasant experience with John, the salesman, who has always been responsive to my questions and concerns. The 2 star review is on account of the office communication as well as the installation quality. Lead time was estimated to be 8-10 weeks, but I had to call after 12 weeks and chase answers about when my installation would be. Also, I was disappointed on several fronts with the installation. There are unsecured, loose post caps, scratched/damaged surfaces, fasteners that were driven in without cleaning the frayed look, a gate that had a full 1.5" gap (which I insisted they come back to correct, which they did), and clearly uneven/asymetrical spacing of the pickets on one side of the yard. For the price of the materials, I really hoped it would come with more careful installation, but live and learn. read more

Edit: I like the fence that A&M installed. It is of high quality and I expect to enjoy it along with the rest of the things surrounded by the fence for a number of years to come read more

Good quality product and very good workmanship!. Company was on time and worked very hard and neat.I would use this company again.

Had a appointment for this morning and no one showed up thanks for making my decision easy on who to hire

A & M Fence does really fabulous work. Not only do they do a beautiful job, but the service is fabulous. And I think the pricing is competitive. Highly recommend. read more

I was going to give this company a No Star review, but after more than three months, they finally came back and replaced the poor substandard fence panels they originally installed, so I bumped it up to two stars. At least I have a halfway decent fence now. It can take them up to five and a half weeks to return a phone call and respond to a customer complaint. I have never dealt with such non-professionalism in my many years of being a homeowner. My neighbors were going to try them but after they saw what I went through, they decided to go with someone else. I'm afraid I'll have to do the same next time I need fence repair. read more

got a chain link fence and gate. was promised top notch material and got average material with a limited 15 yr warranty rather than lifetime. gate hinges were different too and bottom. I said door and gate hinges are supposed to match. I withheld final payment for months until they finally gave in finished the job. read more

We love our new fence!! They were all so great to work with, very good communication and updates, fantastic and efficient work building our fence and communicating on a gate in the future. Highly recommend! read more

I had a very nice cedar fence installed in March 2016. I had gotten 3 estimates & A&M's price fell in the middle. They are very prompt to show up to give the estimate. On installation day the crew showed up on schedule, ready to work. They handled all of the permits. A beautiful new fence in 2 days. A couple of weeks later I noticed a crack in one post of the back gate. I called them & they came & replaced the entire gate. They want their customers to be happy. Also, they recommended a painter who sealed my fence for a very fair price. I am very satisfied & would definitely recommend. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for a long time. A&M did a wonderful job installing our fence. Their estimator was knowledgeable and professional. They were able to include a pergola, unlike a couple of other companies we interviewed. They paid great attention to detail and made sure we were satisfied with the job. We have been pleased with the new fence for several years now, and we highly recommend A&M. read more

Read Emni's review but gave a shot in terms o FB seeing about a small job I had. Apparently now they are. It taking in any small jobs. During a pandemic when work is tight and jobs are scarce they aren't taking in a job that would take 2 hours lol. Hey, wishing you luck! I should've took notice of emnis review. read more

If you want to waste your time attempting to beg this company to give them your money then call away. Not only did I wait several days to get a call back on scheduling but when I did firm up a time to schedule I was left hanging. The estimator called me an hour after my scheduled appointment to tell me that he still had to make another stop and that he'd be by in an additional hour (2 hours after the scheduled appt) and then wrote it off as if I should understand he's busy. Ok...arrogant much? I don't have stuff to do but wait for you to grace me with your presence? So we rescheduled for the following business day and as expected... no call, no show, nothing. I guess their business is booming enough that they don't need my money or yours. Time to continue the search in finding a company that will respect their prospective customers time and money. read more

Never communicated. Never knew when they were coming. Didn't finish work. Left fence completely raw with no stain. Built part of my neighbors fence 2' over my property line in 2 different places without asking me. Bolted my neighbors fence into my garage without asking me. Raised issues with A&M and they never fixed any of these issues. read more

Extremely happy with this company from start to finish. Front desk very professional and relayed messages to manager and I received phone call back quickly. Estimate was thorough and ways to make the fence more affordable discussed, which I appreciated Work was done on time and with excellent quality. read more

Great company Professional Job well Done very good and affordable will use again.rates are competitive.

John from A&M Fence came out on 7/26 to measure and give me a quote on a patio fence and gate. John was very professional when he took the measurements, I showed him a neighbor's fence which was what I was looking for and he said he would send me a quote. I felt this was a company I would be happy with. Was I wrong! On 8/5 I texted John about not receiving the quote. He indicated he was out of the country and would return 8/18 and promised a quote when returned. I texted John again on 8/26 and he said he would get the quote to me. On 8/30, he called and said he was nearby and would stop by within 20 minutes to remeasure because he couldn't find his original measurements. I thought great, progress! About 20 minutes later I got a text saying there was no available parking and that he would stop by on 9/3 to measure again. I waited at home all day Tuesday and he never showed up. I texted him one last time on 9/9 and it is now 9/13 and I haven't heard from John or anyone else from A&M Fence. I have since had 2 other contractors out and have gotten back quotes from each within a week. Seeing that quick response from the others, let's change that rating to 0 STARS! read more

They didn't give me a quote when I told them the price was my major determine factor along with timelyness.

I loved working with A&M Fence! They have been professional since the original estimate, all the way through installation. They worked with me to make sure I got my dream fence and gate and made everything happen. I would highly recommend. read more

Asked for a fence quote and they quoted and replaced my gate. Exactly the opposite of what was asked for. Requested back and sides of my fence EXCLUDING the gate. The gate was fine and not requested. The Fence is 5 feet away and falling over, leaning against a tree. When questioned why they would replace something that was fine, they got heated stating we signed a contract. Not what we asked for ever. The receptionist as well as the owner were really hot out from the get go, so I assume this is a common occurrence. Stay far away, run from this company. read more

The quality of their work is unmatched. Their schedule was packed and it took weeks to get them here to install but absolutely worth the wait. Obviously, they don't hire bodies so they can take on more work. Their workers are craftsmen - every detail was carefully executed. They showed up with masks and pretty much kept them on all day (it was in the 90's those 2 days). We are very impressed. We installed a steel gate across the driveway and a man gate on the other side of the house. They are both an asset to the property. Office staff was very attentive and pleasant. We'd highly recommend this company. read more

All I needed was for someone to come out and put the hinges back on the post and attach the gate door that blew off with the hight winds we had a month ago. Their minimum labor for small repair is 450.00 plus materials. enough said. read more

As with our last house, yrs ago, the end result is is beautiful! A&M is simply committed to a high standard and in leaving an impressive visual mark in the neighborhood! The material, installation and customer service is stellar. Highly recommend. read more

Bad service! My husband called and scheduled appointment for estimate and nobody ever showed up. Its ok, if a company does not want work another company will. Dont waste your time. read more

We couldn't be happier with this company. We hired them to remove our old fence and install a new one. We wanted a premium / finished look on the inside and gave them a couple inspiration pictures, and they made it come to life. They were detailed and meticulous in the building of the fence, precisely measuring each cut, and both glueing and nailing each board. And they worked with us to sequence the timing around the new patio install as well. Highly recommend! read more

A&M Fence - Before and after. - Fences & Gates Near Me - Cicero, Illinois

Management very disrespectful and unprofessional. I guess he thinks that he can talk to certain people any type of way. Company took an unauthorized payment out of my account. Manager had the audacity to have an attitude when I confronted them about it. Also, make sure you ask plenty of questions with these people. They don't give you all the info you need to know and they are not clear on their own rules. read more

A&M did a great job on our fence. They were comfortable with a little customization and were very reasonable. We did this in the summer of 2020 and the fence looks amazing after our first winter. They worked fast, but carefully and cleaned up afterwards. Great work! read more

A&M Fence came out to give me a fence quote 3 weeks ago, and I haven't heard from them. I've called and emailed asking when I can expect the estimate but they just ignore me. No way am I going to chase someone down to give them business. read more

We had a terrific experience from start to finish with A&M. The quotation was very competitive and Manny did a great job adjusting the design to meet our budget. The installation crew was extremely careful in working around our existing plantings and gardens. In some cases existing flowers and vines were inches away from the new fence and were in excellent shape after our new fence was installed. The crew involved us in each detail during the installation to make sure that we were happy with the final product. The crew was extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable. We couldn't be happier and are thrilled with our beautiful new fence. Our son had a similar experience with A&M. read more

Excellent service. Quick estimate. A bit expensive but the work is excellent and on time. I recommend them based on my experience.

Heard good things about them until I asked them to come by my house for an estimate. They took measurements and said I'd receive an estimate in a couple of days. Never did. It's been over a month now. Not professional at all. If the job was to difficult they should have said something. read more

I'm giving them 3 stars mainly because of price. They were prompt in getting back to me to set up an estimate and provide that estimate. I really wanted a horizontal fence to replace my traditional vertical fence and got the feedback they are so expensive - so I selected the lowest price of options yet I was not crazy about that style. I ended up going with a layered horizontal fence (their's was only single board) that 2 other companies priced and they were between $3450 - $2880 less than A&M . While I'm sure A&M would have done a great job I just couldn't justify that big of a price difference to go with them. read more

I wanted a fence , so I called this company , based on the yelp reviews. It was a very nice guy that came out did all the measure and answered all my questions .
