Fence and gates. Loved working with Julio and his team. Great price and how his team worked to…read moreinstall a whole perimeter fence with new gates was very well done. They completed the job 3 or so months ago. I had questions within a couple of months about wood slats on the fence buckling and some splitting as well as some of the posts splitting. I texted Julio and he told me that was normal weather wear and tear. I texted Julio again two weeks ago because the side gate they constructed no longer lines up with its other side and the locking hardware cant lock anymore. I would gather one side has fallen out of alingment due to the weight of the wood used? Julio has not responded to me. I am not sure how to proceed. I'm a single working woman with my 95 year old widowed mother living with me. Julio knew this. I am thankful for the work done and appreciate everyone is busy, but my yard is no longer safe for me and my family. To be clear, I had offered to pay Julio and his company to fix any problems I had contacted his company about concerning the fence and gates he installed and built.

UPDATE 2-13-2026: Unfortunately, I feel I need to lower my rating of Murphy's Concrete. I strive to…read moreleave fair, honest reviews and as much as I prefer to leave positive reviews, it would not be fair to those reading my review to not provide the full experience. The concrete was poured November 24 & 25 in 2025. On December 11, we received a Notice of Right to Lien from the concrete supplier that Murphy's used for the project because they had not been paid for the concrete. This was a big surprise as we had paid Murphy's in full on November 25. On January 30, 2026, we received a Notice of Intent to Lien from the same supplier as Murphy's still had not paid for the materials they used on our project. On February 12, the supplier notified us that Murphy's paid the bill that day and there would be no lien placed on our property. The lesson I learned is to find out from the contractor which supplier(s) they will be using and pay them directly. To summarize my experience with Murphy's Concrete: They did good work, their customer communication could use some work, and not paying the supplier in a timely manner resulting in the customer being threatened with a lien on their property is a deal-breaker.

BEWARE of this contractor!! Our driveway widening project…read morewas done last November. In the beginning of this year, around February, we were contacted by the concrete supplier that Murphys uses and were told that a lien would be put on our home due to lack of payment from Murphys. After I contact Ryan, he claimed there was some sort of misunderstanding, and he finally paid the supplier 3 months after our job was complete. I recently contacted Ryan and sent pictures of the driveway where there was crack developing just in one area. Ryan said he would fix it, but I had to pay for it! I told him I felt after only 8 months that I should not be 100% liable and we needed to have a conversation. That was the last time Ryan ever acknowledged multiple texts and voicemails even after I advised him to just text me that his decision, not taking any liability, was final. He never did. Just a very poor business practice on his part and I would never do business again with him especially that I had to deal with a lien on our property!!!

I was too distracted and didn't get a chance to take picture of their yard but they have a huge selection. Really good selection and the prices are competitive keeping in mind the other options are 45 minutes away. Definitely worth checking it out for that next project on the list.

I contracted MB Lewis to build me a 24'x24' garage in my back yard which was completed in Oct 2017…read more The work was done in a timely manner and his crew was professional and courteous. My main concern is the concrete foundation of my garage. Before breaking ground I asked Brodie, the owner and general contractor, if he was going to compact the ground where the garage was to be. He told me that my ground was very settled and strong and that it wasn't needed. When my concrete was poured the foundation developed cracks immediately even before the concrete worker could cut the contraction joints. There were 5 large cracks in the cement running the whole length of the foundation. I expressed my dissatitisfaction with this development, but was assured that it wasnt structural by Brodie. Now there is a slight grade from the biggest crack to the wall and height differential between the 2 sides of this crack. Brodie didn't even offer compacting the ground as an extra service I would have to pay for--He told me I didnt need it. He was wrong. I, as the unlicensed home owner, shouldn't have to hold the contactors hand to do a job right. If you hire MB Lewis you will have to.

We hired MB Lewis in 2015 to build a detached garage. Here are the pros & cons of our experience…read more Pros: The owner, Brodie, and his crew are really nice people & friendly; the price was reasonable; Brodie came out and gave us a bid right away; the garage was built to specs and within budget. Cons: After our bid, it took almost 4 months for the garage to be built even though we were told it would be much less and we got the building permit much earlier; the concrete pad was poor quality and looks horrible; the quality of the garage is average, basic, not excellent but worth the price we paid; the concrete & framing crew left trash piles all over which included pizza boxes, chewing tobacco, leftover food, just nasty trash... we had to pick it up every night so our dog didn't eat it. In the end, we like (not love) our garage, we are bummed that our concrete floor looks so bad, the 4 month time period caused us some problems coordinating other projects. I think MB Lewis builds a decent garage for the price. We didn't price others in Reno, so not sure how they compare.

He…read moregave me some great ideas on what to do with the yard as this was my first house I've had landscaped. I had initially planned to have concrete poured and he suggested pavers and as you can see it turned out amazing! We had a massive amount of work done, he installed a drip system for all of the plants along the fence, a sprinkler system for the grass, pavers, concrete boarders, 21 plants, 2 japanese maples, DG on the sides of the house, SOD and the landscaping lights. I could be more happy with how it came out. I did ask about that one star review above and he was quite upset about it, he didn't do that work (it was a new house and he didn't have that contract) and when he gave them a quote to fix it, it was too high and they attempted a fix themselves and it failed. He is unsure why she believes he did the initial work but he takes his name very seriously and I don't blame him (I thought it fake for other customers to know this). If you're lucky enough to get him to work on your yard you won't be let down. Can't recommend Manny enough!
