    Murphy's Concrete

    Murphy's Concrete

UPDATE 2-13-2026: Unfortunately, I feel I need to lower my rating of Murphy's Concrete. I strive to…read moreleave fair, honest reviews and as much as I prefer to leave positive reviews, it would not be fair to those reading my review to not provide the full experience. The concrete was poured November 24 & 25 in 2025. On December 11, we received a Notice of Right to Lien from the concrete supplier that Murphy's used for the project because they had not been paid for the concrete. This was a big surprise as we had paid Murphy's in full on November 25. On January 30, 2026, we received a Notice of Intent to Lien from the same supplier as Murphy's still had not paid for the materials they used on our project. On February 12, the supplier notified us that Murphy's paid the bill that day and there would be no lien placed on our property. The lesson I learned is to find out from the contractor which supplier(s) they will be using and pay them directly. To summarize my experience with Murphy's Concrete: They did good work, their customer communication could use some work, and not paying the supplier in a timely manner resulting in the customer being threatened with a lien on their property is a deal-breaker.

BEWARE of this contractor!! Our driveway widening project…read morewas done last November. In the beginning of this year, around February, we were contacted by the concrete supplier that Murphys uses and were told that a lien would be put on our home due to lack of payment from Murphys. After I contact Ryan, he claimed there was some sort of misunderstanding, and he finally paid the supplier 3 months after our job was complete. I recently contacted Ryan and sent pictures of the driveway where there was crack developing just in one area. Ryan said he would fix it, but I had to pay for it! I told him I felt after only 8 months that I should not be 100% liable and we needed to have a conversation. That was the last time Ryan ever acknowledged multiple texts and voicemails even after I advised him to just text me that his decision, not taking any liability, was final. He never did. Just a very poor business practice on his part and I would never do business again with him especially that I had to deal with a lien on our property!!!

I explained the situation and he came right away to check it out, we worked out a game plan and budget that worked with what I could afford, and I went from super unhappy to happy and a new satisfied customer. I will definitely call him again for masonry needs. As I have mentioned in some of my other reviews, I come from a family of trades professionals with extremely high standards and expectations -- Steve fits right in there, and here's why: Customer Service He is reliable and accountable. He honors his commitments, shows up on time, and communicates if there is going to be any variance in schedule. He is very clear about setting expectations, and is extremely respectful about answering questions in a matter of fact manner so that complex related things are made very simple to understand. Work Ethic & Quality Steve has an an excellent work ethic, can assess a problem very quickly and get a plan of action. He looks at multiple possibilities, and is very realistic with what he proposes. He is also friendly, and his quality of work is impeccable. He is very respectful of your property, cleaning and locking up when finished which is so nice! Would I recommend him? Highly! If you want someone who you can put your highest confidence and trust in, this is the person you want to hire. His costs are extremely fair, he is very honest and transparent about everything, so you always know where you stand. If I had more budget I would have him do more projects for me. I also recently saw the fireplace he built at my neighbors house and it was gorgeous. Call him, he'll make your house beautiful with his stone work. 10 stars, highly recommend!

Calling Nevada Pavers and Stone for an estimate on cleaning my back yard and installing a patio was…read moreone of the best moves I've made. Rafael was very quick inspecting the job and the quote was beyond reasonable for the amount of work so I immediately just said yes! Scheduling was easy and there were no delays. Due to some family issues, I didn't pick out my own pavers. I just described a color scheme I was interested in and Rafael did the rest. Jose and his team arrived on Monday morning and they worked like a well oiled machine. Each man had a job to do and they did it. No wasted time chatting or planning. They came in and got right to work every day. They were friendly, efficient and serious about the work. The entire job was completed in 4 days and I couldn't be happier. The pavers match the house and fence so well! I couldn't have picked anything more perfect. I just can't say enough about how positive this experience was - from a much appreciated phone call from Yeimy, to the final handshake when they left. I highly and happily recommend this company for any paving jobs you might have!

We decided to switch from a yard full of grass to a mostly-xeriscaped yard. The project included removing the existing grass, shrubs, sprinklers, concrete walkway and water lines and replacing them with pavers, rock, creek bed pebbles, shrubs, boulders, decorative lighting, drip system, electrical lines attached to timers, a mailbox pillar, and an additional step added to the entryway. After researching many companies and interviewing four, we ended up choosing Nevada Pavers & Stone. Rafael, the owner, spent a lot of time with us to determine exactly what we wanted and he was also very patient as we requested changes both before the project started and during the renovation, clearly stating if a change was included or if it would be an additional cost so there would be no surprises. Once he and his crew started the job, they did not want to stop until they finished. I mention this because often contractors will start a project, only to leave in the middle of it to work on someone else's project then return at a later date. We appreciated that this was not the case with Nevada Pavers & Stone. The crew was ready to work by 8 a.m. every morning, sometimes earlier. They worked hard all day, every day (at times they were actually jogging when transferring materials from the truck to the yard) and were respectful of our property and our neighbors' property, cleaning up as they went and at the end of each workday. They were also professionals - they knew what was expected and how to do it, and we never heard loud voices, questionable language, or loud music (in fact I did not hear any music at all, which I would not have minded). The project included many drip lines and electrical wire being run for shrubs and lighting, all of which are nicely hidden as they were buried under the new ground cover. Rafael also built a pillar for our mailbox, to which he added a decorative light on top and lighted address numbers on the front. We are very happy with our front yard. If you need a landscape design company, Nevada Pavers & Stone, LLC should be on your very short list of companies to contact.
