After all, I can't remember the last time my septc tank was actually done, but figured preventive care was better than having a stinky mess. I called Marshall's and Erin was very nice. Easy to get an appointment and Marshall's was here Thursday morning, bright and early. These are the unsung heroes doing these dirty essential jobs. Glad to have them. I didn't catch the fellow's name, but he was very nice and in no time was able to find the septic tank. 1000 whatevers and we're good to go for another thousand years. Price was surprisingly inexpensive though I don't know what the going rate to get your septic tank cleaned these days. Great experience while in quarantine. Right away, when I got the referral to Oscar from Lyon County, I called and his staff answering the phone, she is always so pleasant. Like a pleasure to speak with. Easy scheduling, and Oscar was early. Even when bad weather threatened, he just moved the appointment up, rather than canceling, like most others would. He got this tabk(that I didn't even know where it was) found, drained(I don't know when it was last done), and was super cool and friendly. I would highly recommend Oscar /Oskar Septic to anyone, and will sing his praises for years to come. Thank you Oscar for handling my sh*t when I had zero clue! You're the best!

John came out today and dug up our septic tank this morning, and he was very helpful in answering all our questions. That was what I was told in person, my daughter was on the phone. There was no specification of what line was being cleared, no specification that there was any stipulations on the refund. The guy simply said if it doesn't work I won't charge no small print disclosed. My toliet worked but all the sewage was backed into my bathtub( see picture). Thats what was in my bathroom when he finished. Doesn't look clear to me, now I am no plumber or septic pro, but come on. They offered a good faith refund of 100. I'm confused they said if it didn't work it would be a 250 refund not 100. Do not use! Do not recommend! Rip off!!! Zero stars. If you are not a plumber then you should not say I will clear the line for an additional 250 and if it doesn't work I won't charge you. The right thing to do would be to say you need a regular plumber if you couldn't do what I needed. Not charge me almost 1000 dollars to not fix the problem I wanted addressed. We talked on the phone also got bombarded by you and your wife via text. There is nothing more to talk about maybe you will be better and more clear and concise or just do the right thing and refund the 250.

Unacceptable across the board. They showed up over two hours late, and it only went downhill from…read morethere. Their equipment wasn't working, which dragged the job out to nearly twice as long as it should have. To make matters worse, they spilled what looked like close to two quarts of oil all over the dirt on the property and made no effort to properly clean it up or take responsibility, instead they tried to conceal it by kicking dirt on it and then left it. That's not tacky its highly inappropriate. Communication was just as bad. We had to chase them down for days to get the report, after clearly written instructions to the company. After raising these concerns, the company promised a follow-up call to take care of things that never happened. Completely blew us off. Then the invoice showed up hundreds higher than expected, pushing close to $1,000, including nearly $400 just for the inspection. For the level of service provided, that pricing is hard to justify. After 21+ years in this business across two states, this is easily one of the worst vendor experiences I've dealt with. Poor execution, poor communication, and zero accountability. Would not recommend.

Hired for a septic inspection after entering escrow to sell our home. The inspection came back…read morestating the leach pipe was saturated, so the company recommended a recheck/remediation attempt the following week. The younger tech, Lucas I believe, was polite and professional. However, we were told by another technician (older gentleman) that if the leach pipe was saturated and could not be fixed that we would need an entirely new septic system, but we were NEVER told this company does not actually replace septic systems themselves. I assumed they handled full replacements, so we agreed to let them attempt remediation. Three days and $3,000 later, including about $2,500 just for excavation, we were told the issue could not be fixed and we would need a full septic replacement through a completely different company. Had we been told upfront that they do not perform full replacements, we would never have approved the excavation or remediation attempt because now we have to pay another company to excavate all over again. During the "remediation," they also replaced two pipes that did not even need to be replaced since the entire septic system now has to be replaced anyway. It felt like unnecessary work added onto the bill. The yard was also left looking terrible with dirt piles, patches everywhere. Two other septic companies came out afterward and one specifically commented that if their crew left a lawn looking like that, they would "rip them a new one." After paying $3,000 for essentially no resolution, my husband called asking for the yard to at least be cleaned up properly. The older technician told him he would call the following week to schedule a day to come out. Instead, he showed up unannounced on a random day and immediately started digging in the front yard. When I opened the door and politely asked what he was doing and informed him another septic company was on the way, his response was simply, "yeah, so?" Extremely rude and unprofessional after everything that had already happened. At the end of this, we are now paying an additional $15,000 for a full septic replacement on top of the $3,000 already paid to this company, including duplicate excavation costs that could have been avoided with honest communication from the beginning. I'm sure they may be fine for a basic inspection, but I would not trust this company with costly repairs or major septic work.
