Great service. I was calling numerous shops with very little customer service turned me off .. I called A & J Arms spoke with Arden and I must say very accommodating over the phone had what I was looking for . I showed up at the shop and was welcomed the customer service was great . I purchase a fire are from the Father Son team that runs the shop. Went in a previous day to browse and get a feel for what I wanted. With no pressure I was showed each gun and was told some features about them. On my return visit I was greater and made to feel welcome when the sales person said "your back for the pc9 right" even better the process was smooth as can be. In the last few weeks since the corinavirus there has been a uptick in gun sales in all of NY State. A few weeks back I put an item on layaway at A & J Arms. I could not afford the item at the time and they extended that courtesy. Nothing but good things to say about them at that time. Excellent service, friendly, very knowledgeable. All that drastically changed in the last two weeks. Lines out the door with really anxious residents buying guns and in fact encouraged to purchase. FYI I am for all intensive purposes I am a first responder called to duty by various state and federal agencies. I called A & J to cancel the order as I would not be able to use the item and actually needed the money. Denied! Store credit only. Was told they would store it for me at a cost. Informed them that I was on mandatory lock down to maintain my health for duty. Offered to show documentation. Again denied for the refund and will be charged for the storage. Completely understanding the need to follow Fed and NY State laws, this was not about laws. "There is a line out the door...have no time for this...no refunds...makes no difference that you are a first responder....if you cannot get here personally charge is $25.00 a month for storage... no exceptions .....don't care who you are... A & J has made a great deal of money for themselves. Good for them. But these times call for much more than making money at the expense a of frightened population. Un American, Un Patriotic, callous, exploitative, cruel, selfish, are only a few of the words I would use to describe A & J Arms. Never expected this from them. Difficult times bring out the best and worst of us. Some of us will never frequent that establishment again. We always have their "6", difference is they would never have ours. read more

Had to transfer a handgun from Texas to NY, via their FFL, and these guys made the whole process hassle free!!!! For as long as I have to be subjected to living in this horrendous state of NY, hopefully not much longer, these guys will be my first choice for all things regarding shooting! read more

These guys are the best! My wife and I wanted to buy a Charles Daly Shotgun for our son who wanted to begin pheasant hunting with me. We had gone to other gun shops and stopped in to see what they had. My wife had never been to a gun shop before and the staff at A&J was so welcoming to her and nurturing it made the experience for her GREAT! They ordered the gun I had chosen for our son and explained guns to my wife in detail educating my wife and setting her mind at ease about guns, which was great! She didnt have a background in guns as it was a conversation she never had an interest in, that changed and now she wants a shotgun to go skeet shooting with us for mothers day!
