From the moment he arrived, I felt I could trust his expertise as it was clear he knew what he was doing. He diagnosed the issue in just minutes and made some recommendations to mitigate the issue. Texted my plumber, and he doesn't unclog drains, so he gave me the number for Daniel at All Purpose. 12/8 Called Daniel, who came out that day. He was friendly and polite, spent around 40 minutes in my basement, and I paid $138.00 for the service of unclogging the drain. Seemed reasonable to me. 12/10 Did a small load of laundry and the same thing happened. Texted Daniel. No response. He'd mentioned how swamped he was, so I figured he was simply busy and would get back to me when he could. 12/14 Having waited through the weekend plus a couple of grace days, I called Daniel and left a message. No response. 12/17 Called again. Daniel answered, said he was swamped and couldn't get to me until the following Monday or Tuesday, but he was on the highway and said he'd let me know when he could look at his schedule. He didn't call back. 12/21 The holidays are fast approaching, and I'm now hand-washing my clothes. Called Daniel again and left yet another message. No response. 12/22 It's now been two weeks of waiting, so I gave up and called another company. They came out that day and fixed my problem--a pipe that was almost completely blocked by tree roots (there are photos and video of this). They said it was fortunate that I didn't end up with a flooded basement, and they couldn't understand why All Purpose wouldn't have come at the problem from outside. 12/22 Called Daniel yet again and told him I wanted a refund. He seemed exasperated and told me I was calling his private cell number. (How would I have known that? It's the number my plumber gave me. Why not say something before? And seriously? *He's* annoyed with *me*?! Sheesh...) I got annoyed right back. Then he told me he'll refund my money and to never call him again. 1/5 As of today, I still haven't gotten my money back. Needless to say, I strongly advise against using this company. I think they're probably okay as long as nothing goes wrong ... or they're not too busy or whatever. But in my case, they didn't stand behind their work, didn't call me back after they took my money, and now won't give me the refund I was promised.

They followed thru-Cody and Jack arrived a couple hours later, diagnosed issue, presented three different solves at various price points and offered guidance on plus/ minus of each. He was very polite and respectful while in my home, even wearing protective shoe covers. He arrived at 8:00am as scheduled and spent 2 hours completing a "Home Diagnostic Inspection" which included examining all my hot water heaters and ALL plumbing fixtures throughout my home which I was not expecting. He then presented me with a service plan at $60 per month for a maintenance plan which gave me a discount on future services (10%) and a 50% discount on the service call fee of $119.00. He also gave me a bid on replacement cost for several faucets which I felt was a little bit higher than I was willing to pay. He said I could buy my own parts but the installation charge would be higher. I told him "Thank you but no thank you". He gave me a bid for the removal and installation of the 'Insinkerator' instant hot water dispenser that I had already purchased. The bid was extremely higher than I ever expected! But, the technician was here and I wanted it done, however I only elected to have ONE faucet replaced which made the price go up! Long story short, I was charged $815.36 for the installation which took One Hour and Fifteen minutes (I provided the part). In addition to this, I was charged $119.00 for the service call fee! I paid a total of $934.36 and 2/3 of the time he was here was spent on trying to sell me a service plan for my plumbing, H-Vac system as well as my electrical needs for $60 A MONTH! Then, you get a whopping 10% discount on the service call fee! I calculated that this service call was $12.47 per minute! I contacted the company customer service representative to talk about what I thought was an extremely high charge and all she could offer was that they have to pay for gas, tools and expenses! She also reminded me that I signed and agreed to the bid (she told me this 5 times). I told her I DID agree that that was their bid and I paid it! I did not agree that it was a fair price but I did not want to confront the young technician. I called HER to discuss the issue, to see if she thought that $934.36 for 1 hour and 15 minutes labor was fair. She did! Call this company if you have money to burn but you will get your work done politely.

Thomas came to our house to look at 2 air conditioning units that weren't working. He said that…read moreboth units were out of Freon. The newer unit was frozen over so he said he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it until the ice melted and the other was old and should be replaced. He became frustrated with me when I had trouble understanding what was causing the unit to freeze over if there was no Freon. He appeared arrogant and I was ready to send him home at that point, but my wife was mainly dealing with him and it was a hot day. When I complained to my wife about him she said that maybe I shouldn't have bothered him while he was working and that he was very nice to her. After examining the units he spent a while discussing our options which included a new air conditioning to replace the older one or adding 5 pounds of AR-22 freon for $1100. He wanted to charge $7,500 for the new unit which seemed reasonable, but he couldn't do it until next week and, after a quick Google search, I told him $1100 was high for adding freon. Then he once again appeared upset and asked me what I was talking about. When I explained that I quickly looked it up and knew that It usually costs maybe $500-$750 he conceded that I could find it cheaper elsewhere. Then he told us it was $125 dollars for the visit. I told him that he can't charge me for the visit because nobody notified us that there would be any charge. He said that he doesn't work for free. But I told him that without prior notification of a service charge, I didn't believe it was legal for him to charge me considering he didn't do any diagnostic testing or any repair work. He just looked around and told me something any technician could have discovered in a few minutes. He then while standing in our kitchen played the whole recording of the conversation my wife had with the dispatcher to learn that we were right and we were never notified that there would be any charge. Two days later we had Meyer Heating and Air do a same day installation for the same $7500 and they added freon to the other unit for free when the $333 leak detection didn't reveal any leaks. Plus the reps at Meyer were very pleasant to work with so I gave Meyer a 5 star review and Design a 1 star review.

After over three months of operation, cooling and now heating, I give Galmiche's a good five stars…read more We'd had Galmiche's give us a bid several years ago and were impressed then, however we didn't have the funds and decided to wait and see. Well, this summer as we experienced our hottest heat wave, the nearly 40 year old system finally died. Galmiche's came back out, gave us a new bid and had a new system installed within four weeks of our old system dying. Over a month later the AC wasn't working again. Galmiche's came out, found a problem and fixed it, on warranty. A couple days later the AC stopped working again. The same technician came out, did a deeper dive and determined that a part hadn't been replaced that should have been as part of the complete install. The company warrantied the repair again, accepting responsibility. All in all, I've been very pleased with Galmiche's. Their price, their courteousness, their promptness, and their integrity. I recommend them, and will definitely consider them when our second system (we have a two system house) finally kicks it.

The first time out they were phenomenal. They checked ALL my drains and cleared the issue for us so quick. Their prices are fair for the area. We had a cap stuck in the drain, but we hadn't had issues with it draining yet, so we left it at the time. We asked him to do a rough estimate for pricing to get it out just in case, and on his way he went. Turns out, when he was snaking the drains, he had actually wedged the cap further down to which it blocked the sewer line from the toilet and shower, and created a seal. This was our fault since we didn't mention it to him though. We tried a few times to get it out with an electric snake, but couldn't, so called these guys to come formally quote and cut the pipe for us. Then, ghosted. Called, emailed. Never heard back. I'm not sure if they just didn't want to deal with the cast iron (fair), but it would have been nice to have some communication. We unfortunately won't be calling them again. They're probably awesome for quick and easy house calls, but I don't think more in depth issues are worth their time. At least, that's what it feels like.
