By jiminy, this landfill also boasts what is probably the nicest vantage point of any other landfill in the country, with a picturesque view of the Sakonnet River and Narragansett Bay to the west. Birdwatchers rejoice with an abundance of Larus canus and Cathartes aura to photograph. Why anyone in their right mind would come to a landfill to enjoy the ocean view and fauna is beyond me, but if that's seriously your thing, then you have just found your own personal little nirvana here in the south end of Tiveryon. However it was freezing cold and windy today and my dumpster was over filled. I happened to see the fella dump it, wind got a hold of a couple of bags and made a mess on our driveway. The fella got out and cleaned it up in 35+mph wind in mid January!! Well above and beyond his Job in my opinion.. As we had over filled the dumpster that's why it fell our! SMR only paid sheet rates like it was common aluminum siding even though it was not and were things clean. Very much ripped off our disposal crews by doing so.
