Had an issue with an old GE washer. A + E did a great job today. Arthur came over on the weekend and there was no extra fee for the weekend. He figured out the issue and fixed it. It was a lot cheaper than buying a new unit. Very professional and fair with pricing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!! read more

Arthur was able to come the same day I called and install two new springs in our dishwasher door. I found his name from a post on a local Facebook page, that also provided a great review. He was quick and affordable and I highly recommend him! read more

I would start my dishwasher and then the light would just go to blinking and it wouldn't work. I called up this company because they "had good reviews" they sent out a man who -- from the moment he walked into my house -- was rude, disrespectful, and insulting, starting out by insulting me for not having bought an expensive dishwasher. And then, he thinks because I'm an old lady he can say and do whatever he wants. Then he tells me the only reason my dishwasher didn't work was because *I didn't close the door*. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but really,. *I'm not stupid*. I HAD closed the door. So tonight I closed the door 15 times and started the dishwasher 15 times and it still doesn't work. But they took my $85 just to tell me I'm stupid and don't know how to run a dishwasher. I would *NEVER* recommend this company to anybody for anything, and when I called to complain about it, all I got was a song and dance, and the offer to send the same jerk out to see me, AFTER I had already told him I don't want that human being in my house ever again.. Disrespectful to the point of being , ready to rip off somebody who's on a unlimited budget, unkind, but more than happy to take my money. If you have $1 million house they might treat you right. If you have anything less than that you're a piece of crap warmed over. I'm not that hard to work with. I'm not an unreasonable person. This was egregious. If I could give this zero stars or minus stars I would. Rudest and most disrespectful person I have ever had in my house. read more

Arthur is honest, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He said my 2012 model refrigerator needed a compressor and evaporator replacement which would cost $1,500 (total for parts & labor). However, he recommended that I should purchase a brand new refrigerator instead. He even kindly directed me to a nearby Lowe's outlet store where I got a great deal ($875) on my new refrigerator. read more

Arthur is the best. He is my go-to appliance repair expert. Over the past couple of years, he has come to my home three times, once to replace a complex refrigerator LED light that went out, then my stove top temperature control that failed, and most recently he cleared out an object that had fallen deep into my dryer vent. He responds promptly to the situation, is efficient, clean in his work, and always polite. Just no-nonsense value, which can be hard to find. Call Arthur, you won't go wrong! read more

Came out quickly to diagnose the issue and had it fixed the next day. Was super polite and attentive. Would recommend for any friend or neighbor! read more

This review is long overdue. Arthur (pronounce Artur) has been our home appliance guy since we bought our house 22 years ago (2002). He has fixed our washing machine several times which we were able to keep for 20 years until we finally had to let go based on his advice. Too much to repair it. He has repaired our dishwasher several times - it is 15 years old. He has worked on our stove (22 years old) and he has worked on our refrigerator (22 years old). That's a lot of appliances that we have managed to keep around our house long past their expected life spans saving us literally thousands of dollars. Today, I called him about something that broke in our fridge. He came over same day (as always), took some notes and now he's looking for the part we need. Since the fridge is so old, they don't make that part but he thinks he might find it somewhere. While he was here, he helped me find more parts that were broken in our dishwasher (where the silverware goes), he balanced our stove so that when I cook, the oil in the pan doesn't immediately go to one side of the pan and cleaned our stove burners so that we have more flame. Arthur is honest, calm, professional, clean, on time and gets things done and he backs his repairs. If that all sounds good to you, then you should call him! read more

Arthur was great at fixing our LG washing machine. He was very knowledgeable on the machine and he has become our go to repair man for all our appliance. Give him a call at (818) 530-6163. He is worth every penny and doesn't break the bank. Thank you again Arthur for your work. read more

Arthur has come two times to fix our oven (separate issues) and each time was responsive, friendly, and knew exactly how to solve the issues. We found him very affordable and absolutely would recommend him and call him again! read more

Artur saves the day, AGAIN!! My awesome KitchenAid dishwasher was doing the flashy-light error, & I was desperate, with a house guest arriving last night! But Artur came and rescued us! A long time ago, a plumber had disconnected the air gap, and Artur replaced it, cleaned the garbage disposal, and restored my brilliant dishwasher to perfect condition! It wasn't really my dishwasher that was the problem, it was the poor installation/plumbing conditions preventing it from doing its work. Another great experience with Artur. He's just the best, and he really seeks out the origination of appliance failures. No shortcuts! read more

When the dishwasher at the rental I was staying at went out, Arthur came to the rescue! Not only was he quick to address the problem and had the right tools and parts for the repair, but when the dishwasher started being fussy a few hours later, he kindly came back to check on it and showed us how to fix the problem (user error was to blame!) read more

I contacted A&E regarding a GE dishwasher that was not starting. I liked that when I called I actually spoke with a human. Arthur told me that he couldn't make it for several days as he was booked. I agreed to meet him on Saturday, and on Friday late morning he called to say he was in the area and could come in 15 minutes. Yeah!!! He was very professional took the machine out and checked all the connections explaining that there was power going to the circuit board but no power at the circuit board, informed me that it would not be cost effective to fix (can buy new one for same amount, even offered where to buy new one) Put the dishwasher back together and to all of our surprise it now works. Of course he can't warranty it, and stated maybe it will work a couple of years, who knows. I paid the service charge and he was on his way. Told my tenant, that it was working but didn't know for how long, and with that I know next time replace it. He also suggested NOT TO BUY GE. Good information, great guy Arthur, and got out the week before Thanksgiving. Would definitely recommend. read more

I am so happy to have found Arthur. He was prompt to return my call, came out at our agreed upon time, & was all around lovely to work with. He fixed my LG dryer easily & in a timely manner. He showed me what he was going to do, explaining the problem with my dryer, without talking down to me. He had the parts with him as well, so it was a quick project to finish. Pricing seemed quite fair. I highly recommend him for any appliance repair you may have. Thank you, Arthur. :) read more

Arthur is incredible. My refrigerator was heating up and the freezer was icing up. I first had a local Altadena company come out who replaced the controller and dumped boiling water to unclog the vents but never really inspected anything else. This repair lasted 3 days - and the repair guy said he hurt his ankle and couldn't come back for a few days. Ugh. I then found Arthur and he came out the next morning, found the thermostat had died (he showed me the part), replaced it, and checked a few more quirks I've noticed. He also cleaned up the shoddy work the Altadena company left. And he did so at a reasonable price. Next time I need any appliance fixed, I'll just go straight to Arthur. He will fix it right the first time and not rip me off. read more

I found some great reviews about Arthur online, I texted him and his response was very quick. He even came out within the next hour to check the washer and dryer. After his diagnosis and seeing his work, I can say that all the comments about him are true. I highly recommend him, he is honest, knows what he is doing and the price is very competitive and fair. read more

We moved in to a new one place and they had existing dishwasher and washing machine and dryer a couple of weeks in and of course they all break down. Arthur is always on time and provides the best service. He was able to make our dishwasher and washer usable again. We were wondering why our kids clothes didn't look clean, a call to him and he figured it needed two major parts and he replaced them. We couldn't be happier with Arthur and the level of expertise he provides. read more

Excellent service! Our Speedqueen dryer needed repair as we heard a grating metal sound. Through Arthur, we learned that the rollers needed to be replaced. We contacted Arthur and as always (he serviced our Maytag old washer and dryer), his response was prompt. Arthur's quality of work is great. He is thorough and methodical. He doesn't rush through his work, but ensures the repair is done correctly. His pricing is fair. Arthur is kind and respectful. Highly recommend! read more

Arthur is a total pro. He was reliable and offered to make the repair on the same day as when I called him. He diagnosed the problem with the leaking refrigerator, had the part with him, and now has given the appliance a new life. The cost for his services is reasonable; he's not out to rip off anyone. I would not hesitate to call him again should another appliance problem come up in the future. read more

Arthur at A&E appliance repair was wonderful. We have been using him for years, and can't be thankful enough for the quick and efficient response. In addition to always being available for emergency service calls, he is very knowledgeable of most appliances. Incredibly reasonable and an honest person. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Calling Arthur at A&E for your service needs. read more

Arthur returned my call immediately after selecting him from the Home Advisor website. He arrived within the hour and was able to identify a leaking water hose with our KitchenAid fridge. The defective hose was replaced with a much better quality hose. Arthur then cleaned the compressor coils to minimize any future wear and tear on the compressor. The fridge was moved back into place and the floor was cleaned and toweled dry. Arthur did an awesome job! Thank you so much! read more

Arthur was amazing! Repairing the washer was on our list of things to do, and figuring that we'd have to set a long term appointment, we called one Saturday at noon. He offered to come out at 2pm THAT DAY!!!! He came over, very professional, wearing a mask and gloves and very conscious about social distancing, and proceeded to fix our washer. He did such an amazing job repairing the old washer for an affordable price that we didn't need to buy a new one! (We were strongly considering it before calling him.) He also let us know how to better take care of our washer to make it last a lot longer. I would easily call him again. Best of all, he isn't trying to panic you, and remains honest about all of your problems the entire time! I highly recommend him without any reservations! read more

Arthur was fantastic! Our dishwasher stopped working and after troubleshooting it ourselves we called our landlord who sent Arthur. Not having a working dishwasher was so hard since we have a baby (ie, LOTS of bottles and dishes). Arthur knew exactly what was wrong. He was very flexible with our schedules and came back for the final repair. Very happy with our service!! Will call again if we need anything! read more

Repair man finally showed up. No communication from him at all until he showed up about 6:15. He said he was not given info to call. Tried to contact the # Lowes gave me several times. Man answered with a "hello" and was very rude. He said they were not the repair people and offered no other # to call. Said to call Lowes back. Told him I'd been on hold, with loud distorted "music," far longer than I needed to be. Repairman showing late cause me not to be able to go to church, for which I was ready when he pulled out. Communication with customer concerning time was very poor. E-mails were not accurate. Have no problem with the repair man, who was very nice and efficient, but the customer service for this company is horrible and costed me a whole day of waiting for someone to show up or some decent communication. Great service, personable, and very knowledgeable. Provided great advice on the current status of my appliances. I called and he said he could come within a few hours after I called. Arrived promptly near the start of the window he said he could arrive. Arthur has done a great job to service our appliances. He repaired an older dishwasher that other technicians said could not be fixed and had to be replaced. He purchased and installed a garbage disposal at a fraction of the price of a quote we received from plumbers. And he added a water filter and valve to refrigerator waterline. He was very professional and responsive. He always messaged 20-30 min before arriving to the house. I highly recommend Arthur if you need someone to look at and repair your home appliances! read more
